Love this iron!
The Clover Wedge Iron is a quality iron. It is lightweight but substantial with a low, medium and high heat setting. For my quilt blocks I have been using the high setting and the iron gets plenty hot without any sticking even when using fusibles or starch. I love how the point gets into corners and the seam allowances. My blocks lay quite flat using this iron. There is no Automatic Shut Off so one must be mindful where you are keeping the iron when turned on. Heats up very quickly so I tend to turn it off when I have finished preparing a batch of pieces or strips.

A good little iron
The price was right, it's designed well for pressing quilt seams and it's lightweight. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for the overall rating was because it doesn't get quite hot enough for me. Even so, I'm very pleased with it, especially because the "nose" is designed perfectly so that you can hold down seams with your fingers and not burn yourself while pressing. Overall, I'm quite pleased.

Love this little iron
Love this little iron, wonderful pointed tip for precise ironing. This little iron saves energy, it is 80 watts and it gets very hot. If you compare it with a standard travel iron which is 800 watts or a regular iron that starts at 1200watts you really save energy. The only downside is that it is really over priced for an iron, it costs more than many big irons with many more features. Hobby items are always overpriced because people are willing to pay for a gadget for their beloved hobby. If you are willing and can afford to spend the money I definitely recommend it.All in all, it is a fantastic little iron!

Not hot enough for pressing seams flat/open
I purchased the iron for pressing seams after piecing for quilts. I found the 80watts not hot enough to get a good "press". The tip of the iron is a good idea, it's lightweight for traveling or for someone that has arthritis/needs a light weight iron. Would be a good iron for light pressing, applique fabric pieces into place.

A great little iron! Seams, quilting, appliques, Perler bead projects!
I love this little iron so much! It is perfect for quilting and/or appliqueing small pieces. It is handy for pressing seams open. Works perfect when I need to heat seal patches on my husband's work jeans. It is small enough that my little grandchildren can handle it safely when heating perler bead shapes. It does not replace a regular iron for general pressing but it definitely is handy for smaller uses!!

Too pricey for what it is
I've only used this a few times when I first purchased this and was not impressed, but thought maybe I didn't give it a fair chance. So I got it back out and tried to use it again to press seams and DIY bias tape. It barely gets hot. The light blinks off and it quits heating, while I'm using it. It didn't come with auto shut off, but it does shut off, and not when I want it to. It had rave reviews by people like Nancy's Notions, which is why I bought this particular one. My 30 year old Oreck still gets hotter and presses a seam or pleat the first time I run the iron over the surface. I can get a better pressed seam with my fingers that this does.I am sorely disappointed in it, and since it is just out of it's limited warranty, I can't return it. I'd gladly sell it to anyone who would find a use for it.Would not recommend, unless the heat is not an issue, and then I would question why anyone would spend the money for something you can do with your finger.

Wonderful little iron
Love the size or this iron for appliqué quilting and ironing small, hard to iron places. Heats up quickly. Does a good job. Have used it on numerous projects and still going strong. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Only one major flaw
I've had this little iron for about six years. I use it a few weeks a year for quilt projects that want pressing after each addition, as well as for applique projects and workshops away from home. Love the size, the weight, the heat, the pointy tip and the smooth sole plate. I do NOT love the fact that the soft handle has been flaking, peeling, and shedding for years and is getting progressively worse. I just covered it with duct tape but couldn't get a smooth finish so it's a constant annoyance that keeps me from loving this otherwise great little iron.
