Holds a great edge so far
Went out and chopped through some pine roots from a hole I was digging out. The factory sharp, straight-edged bit cut well into the root, better than I thought it would for such a lightweight hatchet. I then used it to clear some buckthorn stumps and had to swing two-handed. Great grip kept me in control of the hatchet even with winter gloves on. Edge was still factory sharp with no dings or rolls, wore off some of the finish though. A couple stroke of a file brought the edge to razor sharp. Head firmly attached to handle. Sheath is a bit large for backpack carry. I am pleased with this hatchet and will take it on a campout with my scout troop this weekend, leaving my Gransfors Bruk at home.
