I actually thought I was getting a 1.5 motor so always disappointed to realize it was a 0.55 I don’t feel it has enough power, especially when I’m trying to vacuum debris out of my pool that might be the reason why I’ll be returning for a refund. Also, when I backwash water is spell, flowing out from the sight glass also from the return there are leaks all over the place but I must submit it does have potential

Bought as a replacement for a 24 x 58 above ground pool. The old pump was not moving water efficiently and the pool was staying on the green side. After installation, 2 to 3 days later, we had a clean clear pool. I did have to modify some fittings, that was about 40.00 from local hardware store. Overall, very pleased.

Had to replace old filter. I was unaware my husband had replaced it due to how quiet it was. The old one we could always hear. This one is quiet. I never even knew it was on. I recommend this one!

Spent an hour to assemble the sand filter part which includes installing 100# of filter sand, primed the pump and when I plugged it in (there is no on/off switch BTW) it hummed and pumped maybe 1/2 gallon of water SLOWLY then the motor tripped an internal breaker and shut off. The motor was quite hot to the touch. The link to the sellers web site gives the 404, nothing to see here folks warning and I tried to call the customer support number for a few hours and not even a chance to leave a voicemail. When I finally got through and the Slimline operator told me they only sell outdoor furniture, not pool supplies. Interesting. Now i need to disassemble it all, including removing 100# of wet sand to return it. So much for enjoying it this summer. $450 for this? Save your money and buy a product from anyone BUT Swimline !!
