Fits a 2009 Mini 1.4 95hp
A little fiddly to fit 2 of these to the Mini 1.4l (N12) engine, but already the car seems marginally smoother and marginally quieter. The inlet solenoid on the very back of the engine (closest to the windscreen) is the considerably easier one to fit, with just a couple of 10mm bolts to undo to remove the entire airbox to give plenty of access. The exhaust solenoid at the front of the engine (closest to the bumper) ought to be simpler, but isn't because of restricted hand access. Just watch a few youtube videos on how to do it and you'll be fine. Bear in mind this part fits both the inlet and exhaust sides. As a complete novice, it took me around 2 hours to fit both solenoids. Easy 4 star at this relatively good price of fifty five quid on Amazon.
