"Crap" on a Criminal Scale
If you or I were to send this garbage to someone who had transferred 100.00 to us, we'd be subject to a charge of wire fraud. At 72, I've seen a lot of crap, but this redefines the term. The pieces were falling apart as we were taking it out of the package, because the slats were tacked to their crossmembers using brads that were the equivalent of straight-pins, the kind used in sewing, the kind found in the collar of a new dress shirt, wholly inadequate for fastening wood boards together. The wood itself was so cheap that even after drilling pilot holes for real screws—(the ones they supply are too short)— the boards split. I used 56 of my own screws to reinforce this joke just to keep it together long enough for assembly. The liner, shown in the digram as having a squared-off bottom, actually comes to a "V" configuration and doesn't fit.I would say Amazon should be ashamed of itself, but it would be like trying to shame a pig for being a pig. The beauty of marketing nowadays is that, with the entire world available as your dumping ground, a company can easily make money off something before the buying public realizes thy've been had. I certainly won't buy anything from Amazon Basics again. I assembled this only because we had to have something on short noticed, but it's going back.

Wooden Box
I was looking for a way to display my husbands deer horns and this worked perfect. Love it. Very easy to assemble

At least it’s actually wood
I wasn’t expecting actual wood. Amazon loves to say “recycled wood” and then send particle boards with warped screw holes and disrupted printed patterns. The pieces that were shipped were nice. However, the construction of this unit is a bear. Nothing lines up, and you have to force and strip everything into place. I have no faith in the bottom piece that is supposed to support all your dirt and substrate. I’ve lined the bottom of my planters with bricks just in case, because the bottom piece barely slid in and stayed in place. It has a nice appearance and seems that it will do its job, but don’t expect miracles.

Just what I needed for my small herbs garden
I have a large garden, but I wanted to have something smaller that I could keep close to the kitchen door. This planter is perfect for that purpose. I bought it on sale, it was half price so it was a very good value for the money. It was extremely easy to assemble. I watch the video here on Amazon and I didn't even have to look at the instructions to put it together. It comes with a very good lining that has a couple of holes for drainage. I added a few more, but maybe it wasn't necessary.

Sorry I bought
I watched the video of putting together this planter before buying this product. It was not easy because the wood panels did not fit easily into the brackets and one of the metal brackets broke. There is no need to drill a hole as there are spaces between the boards. We will not be returning it as my husband was able to get it together and it will probably last the summer. The salvaged wood looks okay but has damage making it not fit. The "ribs" in the panel were not all nailed in.

Overpriced for what it is
Overall, this planter isn’t terrible. You need to assemble it, which was pretty straightforward. It’s fairly small, but worked for what we needed it for. However, it’s not worth the price. I paid ~$70 for it a couple months back and at the time felt I was paying too much. The wood is pretty cheap and not uniform (which was fine since it’s advertised as recycled wood). I don’t anticipate this lasting very long, so the fact they bumped up the price to $116 is outrageous. I was looking to purchase another as I wanted to have one on either side of my sliding door to be symmetrical, but after seeing the price I will be going with something else. If it goes back down in price, I say it is possibly worth purchasing, but at this price, absolutely not.

Drill some holes
The bottom of the plastic liner has a few holes punched in it, but I was afraid that the bottom of the planter was soft wood rot so I drilled a couple of holes in the bottom of the planter for water to drain out. I taped up the small holes that were punched in the liner And I use PVC pipe and cut new holes in the liner for the PVC pipe to go through into the bottom wood so excess water would not touch the wood and cause it to rot
