This book provides a good historical look at book-binding techniques. It is very informative and very enjoyable to read as well.

Older book, good solid info on bookbinding, tools and diffenent materials...good for beginners that already done a bit research...

Since we started bookshandmade.com years back i flipped thru this book but far to much stuff that is NOT needed by the small published such as we are .... we put up a youtube about japanese stab binding which takes time but is easy to learn and apply and basically much of what we at bookshandmade.com require - books that make it too complicated are not for the bold.

Excellent book with illustrations. By far my best buy

A practical must-read for all bookbinders and bookmakers.

Some interesting reading - need to get more of it digested, but some new knowledge gaine from this book.
