Super light-weight and sturdy. Excellent product that should provide many years of use.
I chose these for my wife because they were the lightest ones I found. In short, she LOVES them! They are strong and super easy to expand when using and collapse when storing. I haven't used them myself, but I like that they easily adjust to a different height so I don't have to buy my own pair if I want to use them. They have several optional tips that you can switch out depending on the weather conditions, the surface conditions of your trail, and even have a protective cap to cover the bare spike so that it doesn't poke a hole in the bag. Speaking of the bag, THANK YOU for providing a bag with enough space to easily and quickly throw all pieces in without having to make it fit in one specific way. The wrist straps are comfortable and large enough to work with a wide variety of hand and wrist sizes. Overall, I'm exceptionally pleased with this product and very happy I chose these particular poles for her. I may just need to order a pair for myself... or take her black ones and get her a different color of her choosing :-)

Great poles at a great price
Really solid carbon hiking poles at ~half the cost of comparable. I took these on 120 miles of the Haute Route in Switzerland and they held up great. The carbide tips gripped the granite perfectly, were very light and easy to collapse and pack away. Highly recommend!

Probably the best lightweight poles for this price on the market.
These hiking poles are awesome for hiking and backpacking. They are extremely lightweight and very durable. They do not condense down as much as some other poles because they have only two sections, but that was not a deal breaker for me.

Good buy, strong & light. Some issues with hotspots and possibly durability.
As of yet, I've only taken it on one hike of about 7.5 miles with 3,000 ft elevation gain. First impressions are that it’s light and strong, and has held up really well so far. It feels slightly unwieldy when strapped to my pack. This is a trade-off for having lighter 2-section poles, which are never going to collapse down as short as 3-section poles. Pros: Really lightweight, weighing only 11.1oz (315g) for a pair, and 12.8oz (364g) together with the rubber tips and mud baskets. The flip locks are sturdy and supported my body weight hiking downhill and going down steps. Cons: Longer (about 4 inches) than your average 3-section poles when collapsed, so it might not be suitable for people worried about strapping something too long on their pack or fitting it in a duffel or suitcase. There were some minor quality issues with my poles, being (a) random dried glue on the body of the lower section of one of the poles which does not/ has not yet affected function; (b) plastic hinge construction for the strap mechanism in the handle, which is not robust and I am afraid might break quickly over time (photos 3 and 4); and (c) the same plastic hinges poke out near the top of the handles on both poles and rubs against my fingers painfully, so I must actively avoid holding on to those areas (photo 5, 6 and 7). Overall, a good product for the price with minor issues, particularly the handle and strap mechanism needs to be improved.

Insanely ultralight trekking poles
I purchased these as part of my initiative to go lighter with my gear. I currently own the aluminum version of these which weigh about 10.5 ounces per pole so close to 1.5 pounds for a pair. REI has several pairs of carbon fiber poles for 100 plus dollars that only get down to between 12-15 ounces for a pair. These poles and I kid you not weigh 11 ounces for the pair with the rubber footing on the bottom. 5.5 ounces a pole!!!! There are no ultralight ADJUSTABLE poles like that on the market. I say adjustable because you can go lighter with fixed weight or collapsible poles. These can be adjust from 30 to 52 inches and weight 11 ounces for a pair!!! I have used there a handful of times, 2 of them being on very technical trails like cactus to clouds and iron mountain. The shaft provides ample support with no collapsing or slipping. The handles have a nice grip although the EVA support doesn't wick moisture as well as I would have hoped. The straps have a nice feel around the arm and don't chafe the skin. My one major gripe although it isn't worth docking a star, is that they only collapse to 30 inches. I am 5'6" so these poles look huge on my backpack. This is the tradeoff you get for such a lightweight trekking pole so to each his own. Highly recommend for an ultralight option.

Poles you can trust!
I have used different trekking poles over the years. This set is the first with just one catch. They are super light and plenty sturdy. On my original set which was a present from my son, I snapped off the lower section. It was one of those situations where I planted the pole and was stepping off when the scree under my feet totally gave way. The poles kept me from falling. About 1 mile later, the lower section gave way. Had it been an aluminum pole it probably would have bent. No problem. I ordered a lower section from Cascade and I was back in business. On other poles, I have replaced just the tips, but when you do this there is a lack of confidence in the future use of the poles. With these you have a whole new section with a factory installed tip. No worries. Love 'em. I have over 500 miles on my original set, and that is mostly on rocky trails. Using a trekking pole. Uphill: Dig the pole in at about a 60 degree angle and push off. You should feel the associated foot lift up. Downhill: I extend my pole length for long downhills. Shoot the pole out in front of you to brake the impact of your forward progress. This should take off impact on ankles and knees. Level: Same as uphill. Push off, feel the lift, accelerate. They should improve your speed. Love them!

Very useful!,
As an elderly person , I started having balance problems , and wasn’t yet to the point of needing a cane. I’ve now been using this item outside my apartment where there is a chance of getting bumped by people, for four years, and really like its lightness, and yet very sturdy. This is my second buy, due to loosing one of them.

Ultralight 400mi Review ***Now 1000mi Review
Bought in October of 2021, about 400 miles on them now, at 158g each, is there a better pole for the money? ***Now 1000 miles, first failure. The foam has come loose and ripped off the top of one, this happened on a long steep descent. Nothing a little super glue couldn't handle and repaired on trail.

Looks well constructed. And it is the lightest pair of sticks I've owned so far

Pole position
For the price, these were the best carbon poles by far. Lightest by far in the sub $100 range. Cascade is a know brand. They sell a three section pair with cork grips at costco and on here, but the weight, although maybe just around 100g lighter each pole, is noticeably lighter. When extended to 48-52” there is a slight vibration feel/hollow sound when touched to ground but im guessing its not uncommon with light carbon poles. Im happy to accept the minimal vibration as i feel only a single piece pole would be totally vibration free These are only about 3 inches longer when collapsed compared to the other three section poles mentioned (which had a similar feel/vibration). When closed, because they are tapered at the end, they move in and out freely an inch or so (the clamp is set at the extended fatter pole diameter so the bottom part is loose at the tapered part when collapsed). Im 5’11” 180lbs and feel these are strong enough to assist with hiking balance. Havent used them yet but wanted a light as possible pair. Compared to most $200-300 name brand sets, these are still lightest or as light. I prefer two sections anyway as they have less parts to break and wont be abusing them so dont have concerns about durability of carbon. Not sure if two sections is considered stronger or weaker than three sections. Also comes with a nylon zip bag to store poles and baskets/parts I guess the one star off is for the loose ends when collapsed and the vibration.

Cracked during first use.
Broke literally the first time I used them. Too bad because they are light and comfortable to use but I guess you get what you pay for.

Won't stay locked. Disappointing for the price.
Won't stay locked. You need to be able to rely on your trekking poles, but after the second use, these would not stay locked on my hike.
