A great plot with a different spin on the usual main character Jackson. Still plenty of action and suspense to go along.

I have read a number of the author's work and the quality remains consistently high. The plots and character developmentare well thought out and continue to keep the reader completely engaged. Well done!!!!!!

Right cop was going to take some guts to pull off and catch the real person,, but Boyce had to know which one was the bad cop.. After all the first girl shot was her friend and the policeman was standing right beside her,, which left her wearing his blood.. If you want a good story with twists stay tuned in to Sam Lee Jackson..

I liked how in the story that you can't tell a book by it's cover... From dirty cop looking good and vice versa. Also where you come from nothing to be something...keep them coming!

this isn't so much a J/B book as it is a Boyce book. That would be ok, if Boyce was a likable character. In the previous books, she has been... ok. Not super-interesting, more of a filler character, to give them a point of contact in the police dept. Maybe the idea was to flesh her out to make her more of a major character. Trouble is, for me, it just made me come down on the side of full dislike for hrt. Jackson & Blackhawk and the crew were only in this story peripherally. It was really a Boyce standalone, and in that regard, it didn't work for me. Waiting for the next one to be back to being a J/B book, and relegating her to bit player status. I would not miss this character if she disappeared, actually. Story was good, writing was good, just the lead character was a disappointment.

Motive haunts police headquarters as the chief searches for some rational behind these and additional murders and acts of violence. Excellent characters, plenty of unexpected twists and changes, and page-turning action. Well worth the time.

Congrats to the author and all the readers who had the pleasure and chance to read these great books. I'm so proud to say I don't give a hoot about tv, movies or video games. Give me my 📚 every time. Each storyline blended so seamlessly with the next. Love the colorful characters. I am a fan and follower of Mr Jackson as long as he keeps writing such good "stuff". 📖💫👏👍💥💃
