These are a good size. All apprentices start off with small scissors like this - there's a reason for that. Most people will buy the same size scissors that their hairdresser uses - this is a mistake - this is the size you want. I've given myself two good covid cuts with these and made a good job of my girlfriend's hair, and we both have problematic hair. Look at the online guides, copy the cuts your hairdresser makes if you can. Be patient and go slowly, little bits at a time, it will eventually come into shape. Top tip - stop a little before it's finished, then you can see what needs to be done the next day and it will only take 15 mins or less to finish. For long female hair try a sectioned layered cut following the shape of the head - look it up, surprisingly easy to do - then just spend 10 mins finishing it the next day - I found my girlfriend's curly hair didn't want to be layered at the bottom, it looked straggly - easy fix. Great scissors for the money. No you don't need professional scissors, we're total amateurs. Careful with your fingers - they are sharp. And avoid horizontal cuts, that's a big mistake.

Boy, have these had some use this last year! As COVID has deprived us of our professional haircuts, I decided to invest in a pair of these and attempt to recreate that just-walked-out-of-a-salon look at home. Now, I can’t guarantee you’ll get quite the same result, but it certainly won’t be the scissors that let you down. They’re super sharp, give a great cut and are slightly shorter bladed than some others, which I find easier to use. Excellent value for money and even if they get shoved in a drawer for the next few years, they’ve been well worth it.

Purchased these for trimming fringes (mine and my daughters). I’ve been using basic old scissors. It’s great. It works, they are very light and sharp. And they get a good little snip. Hopefully I won’t need to use them again unless there’s another lockdown. It’s always handy to have a good set of hair scissors in the house.The reason I chose these over others what that they came in a case. The case is nice and sturdy. Safe. And a strong popper to keep it closed. I keep them up high in a medicine cabinet, but I’m sure my little ones won’t be able to open it if they got their hands on them. I’m very glad I purchased these over others.

Safety tips rounded nice sharp scissors for trimming hair.

During the current pandemic I didnt want to go the hairdressers but desperately need to trim my hair. Theses scissor are perfect for this, way better than my other normal scissor. Cut through my hair with no issues, very sharp and precise. I am definitely not a professional but having good scissor helped. They are comfortable to hold with the small rings. Delivery was very quick

I won't say it's a total waste of money, but just about does the job. They're too big for a good cut (and I have big hands) - not quite precision scissors, but they just about do the job for a basic cut. More likely to use them as paper scissors some weeks from now.
