I won't ever switch back!
I am very happy with this purchase! I was spending over $200 each month on cigarettes and I needed a way to cut that cost down because I knew I had no intention of quitting. Rolling my own quickly became the answer, so I started doing my research. The top two machines, imo, are this one and one that is about $10-15 more expensive. I went with this one based on the price with a bit of hesitation because I saw more than a few complaints that it rolls them kind of loose, leaves the beginning or end empty, it busts cheap tubes, or it won't fully fill a 100mm tube and that was what I needed it to fill. Keep in mind, these are the same complaints as the more expensive machine as well. While waiting for my new machine to arrive, I went to a local smoke shop to get a better idea of what I would need and how much my new monthly costs would be after the initial purchase of the machine. For two 16 oz bags of menthol tobacco and four 100mm menthol tubes, my new monthly cost is less than $50 (approx $45.75)! Wow! I'm VERY happy about that. So, I got my machine and began my learning process. The first few I tried ended up not filling all the way, so I tried packing some tobacco into the tubes before filling them, but then they ended up too tightly packed, making the draw almost too hard without loosening them up first. After about the third one, I realized that if you just PACK the chamber pretty full from one end to the other (no more or less in the ends and center) you get a tight, perfectly rolled cigarette EVERY SINGLE TIME! I have now rolled over 800 and it takes less time each time I sit down to roll 200 at a time. I even use the cheapest tubes (my local store only has the 100mm menthol tubes in the cheap boxes) and the cheapest tobacco without issue! No tears, no gaps, no binding of the machine based on tobacco length/cut or flavor, and the machine is really easy to clean between uses with the tools provided. The only sound the machine makes is after you press down the lever (which can be a little difficult if you have hand strength issues, but not impossible) and the tobacco is forced into the tube. It kind of reminds me of the sound an old Polaroid camera makes. The counter on mine works perfectly and it arrived at a zero count (some reviews stated they already had 8-15 rolls on their counter before they even started). It can get messy, so be prepared for that and make sure you have an easy set up for cleanup after each use. I definitely recommend you clear/clean your machine after each use to keep it in proper working order. Overall, this is a great machine that has saved me a lot of money, is really easy to use, and pays for itself in literally no time at all compared to the market price of prerolled tobacco. I definitely recommend this machine if you are looking to make the switch.

STILL WORKING!!! Excellent working product!
ADDENDUM 10/20/25 THE BEST! Still working! For the cost, best machine for RYO cigarettes. You don’t need to buy the $300 (probably awesome) injector (which I almost did) unless you’re doing mass cigarette production for people. ADDENDUM 6/9/25 Ok, I’ve hit the 10,000 cigarettes rolled mark. This machine is still working as good as it did on day 1. For the cost, this machine is simply the best. I’ve decided to buy another one and store it away until needed. ADDENDUM 5/4/25 Okay, it’s been 13 months & close to 6,000 cigarettes rolled with this AWESOME rolling machine. I have no complaints. I mean really, for the cost this machine is a BEAST. It rolls a great cigarette and I’ve had 1 tobacco jam! I can’t say enough about this machine. It works, plain & simple, with no problems. And NO, I haven’t been paid or compensated to write this product review. Just the facts ma’am, just the facts! Be kind to self and buy this bad boy rolling machine. You won’t regret it. Due to criminal cost of cigarettes, I’ve gone back to RYO. I did some serious research on electric rollers & for the cost, this little gem for the price is the best in its class and price range. I’ve rolled almost 1,000 cigarettes and not one jam yet. Directions are easy to decipher and machine is very user friendly. Warranty as put forth is very owner friendly unless machine is used in a non approved manner. Now I use cigarette tobacco, NOT pipe tobacco as many people do. My favorite is Bugler and for tubes, Zen (blue box) lights and Gambler (red box) full flavor. I also bought 3 pack of RAW Hydrostone just in case my tobacco goes stale (doubtful). Now this is extremely important when rolling. I strongly advise watching YouTube videos on rolling machine methods too. When you begin, make sure your lever is up and power is on. Drop some tobacco in tray and put some tobacco on the left and right side of machine. Using forefinger push tobacco so it will be firm at end of cigarette tube and at filter end. Now lay more tobacco into machine and gently (4 fingers I use) pack tobacco down. DON’T OVERFILL OR OVERPACK, as machine can or will jam and cigarette will be almost impossible to smoke. It’s trial and error and you’ll be a pro in less than an hour. Now if money $ isn’t an object I’d buy the Powermatic lll series also known as the beast, but IMHO, probably one of the best. Overall, this machine for the price is a winner and I strongly recommend it. I’d put up video , that’s what YouTube is for. Enjoy!

Great for 100s… not much luck with King Size tubes.
I think this little gadget does a great job filling my 100s tubes. Quick and when done properly produces professional quality cigarettes. The only way this could be better is if the hopper was bigger. It’s kinda a messy job, and I prefer to do a whole bunch at once, but stopping to fill the small space up over and over again is kind of a pain. Maybe I’ll make some kinda cardboard add-on (thanks for all the boxes, Amazon). It’s pretty simple to use, with a very slight learning curve. Flip up the lever. Pop the tube on the little metal pipe part, slide the tobacco down, press it into the corners and then lightly press in the middle. Pull the lever and *whirring noise* you’re done. Every time I try to fill a king, though, no matter how little tobacco I put in (or how lightly I press), it ends up with tobacco falling out of it (and all over the tray), so I stick with 100s (my preferred size). Tips: Small pieces of tobacco are bad. They don’t allow enough air-flow for the tobacco to burn properly. Therefore… 1) don’t press too hard. You’ll know if you are because the cigarette will be super dense (hard). It will be uncomfortably hard to draw on (inhale), and if you press too hard, the machine will labor. 2) don’t let the tobacco dry out—it will crumble. Close your bag between fills. 3) don’t be harsh picking up the bits that wander. They provide a small fan brush to gently gather the stray bits and return it to the tray. 4) don’t get super-cheap tubes. Tbh, they’re all pretty inexpensive, but don’t try to save a few pennies here. I like ZigZag and Gambler. Golden Harvest Tubes have super-thin paper that can sometimes slip out of the machine’s tiny grip and pack all but the half inch nearest the filter (unhelpful). I thought there was something wrong with the machine, but it was the cheap tubes. I ended up wasting a good percentage having to rip them up and start again, so the up-front “savings” weren’t worth it, but their tobacco is pretty good. Honestly, I think this gadget is well worth it’s price. Smoking is a terrible habit, and an expensive one. But RYO (Roll Your Own) is an option if you have the time to do this (I pop on an audio book or listen to music while I do). And I do this to save money. I’d say about 65% less than I’d pay in the store for cigarettes. 80%, if you count the gas stations that soak you over your vices. Plus the tobacco you buy for RYO has fewer nasty chemicals in it, so win-win. I’ve had this for about a month and a half. So far, I’m pretty impressed. I’ll update this if things go south.

Good machine
Hate to even recommend it, but it works well. Make your own, save a ton of money. Better yet, just quit smoking and save even more in the long run. (40 yr. smoker here)

Money saving! And works great!
I’ve had this for YEARS, and I can’t imagine how much money it’s saved me! ($9*365 =$3,285.00, $50*12=$600.00, $3285*3=$9,855.00, $600*3=$1,800.00, $9,855-$1,800=$8,055.00 😳) $9 was the last pack I bought, but they are more now. It’s easy to use once you figure out how to pack the chamber. My only suggestion is to be careful when you get to the bottom of a tobacco bag, the small pieces can jam, so you need to pack that a lot less. But, it’s easy to clean and clear and keep going.

Tobacco Sticks to It
June 6, Apparently, it takes this machine to start working properly. With my finger holding the tube and by watching videos, for it, I have been able to makes 100's. I found I have to use a lot more tobacco to get that result. The seller contacted me trying to make things right. He or she gave me instructions on how to make 100's. I've been making them since 2009 and with different machines. So I still say this one is not the best, but it's better than some I've used and it sure beats using a manual. I still want my Warranty Card because, without it, I can't take it to one of their repair shops. That is, to my knowledge. But what is going on with this freaking tobacco sticking to it like a magnet? Today, I saw a smithereen of tobacco jump out of the hopper onto where the lever is. Talk about bizarre. The orginal that I bought in October of 2021, which started jamming last month, didn't have that problem and made excellent 100's from the get go. It would be great if I could get another one of that version than this. June 4, 2024 I just got this yesterday and am already regretting it. It will not make decent cigarettes. I didn't get a warranty card and I suspect it's used. I paid for a new one. I don't recommend buying this upgraded machine. By the way, a reviewer said they went to Amazon for their refund. Apparently, the seller will not respond or refund your money. I, highly, recommend you don't buy this machine. It just isn't worth it. If you do decide to buy it, go to the web site. There are eye openers there you need to know about. UPDATE May 16, 2024. I was having difficulty using this until I super cleaned it. I unplugged the machine. (Don't worry. The amount indicator stays the same. ) I cleaned the trough where you put the tobacco in and the inside of tube holder with alcohol and a Q-Tip. Then I used the brush that comes with it. I got poked by the end, which was quite painful. So this time I used a tough garden glove. Now it runs like new. October 2021 First review. I like this machine, but I had to relearn how to use an automatic cigarette machine all over again. So, be patient and follow the instruction card, especially, if you smoke 100's. We use Gambler 100 Tube Cut and Golden Harvest, just for reference. Make sure you put your tobacco in the ends and then the rest in the middle, tap lightly, then pull the lever. If the lever doesn't move well, then use the end of the screw brush to take out extra tobacco. Me and my husband had to learn that this is the best way to get a full cigarette where the ends don't fall off. You know how it goes, you have more burn holes in your clothes, carpet and chairs than ant hills in a desert. The reason I bought this is because our PowerMatic II was not injecting tobacco to the filters anymore, and we had to use a lot more tobacco to even get a half way decent cigarette. And with Amazon's 4 A.M. to 8 A.M. free delivery, it was perfect timing. I bought this at 5:32 P.M., it was shipped at 7:06 and arrived here at 6:25 A.M. With the time frame and since I could keep track of how many stops the delivery vehicle was away from our home, it was super convenient as I knew when to greet him at the curb. Now that is service! Four things for comparison. First, you don't use as much tobacco. Second, It is a lot lower. So this is where some of the learning curve came in. I had to rethink on where the machine sits compared to our other one. Three, I had to learn to not overfill or push the tobacco in so tight. And, I also had to learn that I, no longer, need to hold the tube while it is being filled. I found, that when you are ejecting extra tobacco, the counter will show that you made cigarettes that you didn't. So that accounts for why some reviewers said they didn't understand why it showed they made more than they did. I really like the tools and how they are set into the box, one inside and the other on the opposite side of the styrofoam the machine comes in and, on the other side, is where the tray is imbedded for safety. I also like the way the end of the screw brush can be used to remove extra tobacco. The brush is soft and does a good job of cleaning this machine. I also like the tray, that comes with it, and the cover to keep tobacco from slipping behind it where it has become unusable. I have thrown away a lot of old tobacco because of this because we have a cat that sheds year round. His fur has gotten mixed into it and there is no way to separate it. I also found I can use dry as well as moist tobacco and it still makes decent cigarettes. These two features also save you money. The plug is huge, and, it sits horizontal, on our power strip, rather than vertical. So, I had to remove a night light and adjust others plugs just to fit it in. By the way, make sure you don't crimp the power cord. I, highly, recommend you try one of these Hawk-Matic cigarette injecting machines. Due to it's commendable features, in my opinion, I think it is well worth it. As usual, with all my reviews, I will update my review, if anything changes.

Super glad I got this!
This machine is an absolute joy to use! It's super quiet compared to my old one, and the simplicity of function is great. I can make 150 cigs in minutes and they are nicely done. I use a tamper that came with my old machine to gently tuck the tobacco into the channel, and the cleaning tools that came with it are nice. The brush is definitely static filled do tobacco sticks to the ultra soft (like a fine makeup brush) bristles. The little tray is nice too because it dits in one end and catches cigs and tobacco in the other. The digital counter is a suprr nice function because i always hated counting tubes lol. I just wish it wasn't under the tray that holds the loose tobacco because you can't see it until you clear that round out of the way. Definitely happy with it.

Loving it! Saves me lots of $$$$
I only found out about RYO recently. Retail cigarettes are so expensive and as cost-of-living has risen for me, I needed to find ways to save money. For roughly the price of 5-6 retail packs, this Hawk-Matic HK2 Electric Cigarette Injector is well worth it. It is easy to use and after some practice, I've learned how much pressure to use to get a consistent amount of tobacco distributed evenly in each injection. Too tight, and it doesn't draw well, too loose, and the cigarette is too airy. For 100mm tubes, I use ~0.9 grams of tobacco. For 85mm tubes, I shoot for 0.8 grams (100mm tubes weigh ~0.3g, 85mm tubes ~0.2g). After only a month, my cigarettes are perfect. Another benefit of RYOs is that pipe tobaccos have far fewer chemicals. I've never understood why retail cigarettes contain so many toxic additives. Smoking is still very bad for you, but I can't ever seem to quit permanently. At least I can now buy all-natural tobacco. Incidentally, My smoking rate has decreased slightly. It's also nice that I can adjust my smokes as I like. Sometimes, I like a bit of menthol; sometimes, I like a stronger or lighter taste. Anyway, now I have far more options for so much less $. Assuming the HK2 lasts ~3 years, each pack of 100s costs just under $1 and even less for 85s unless I use pricier tubes like Kasmire. This includes tobaccos, tubes, shipping, and amortized cost of the HK2. I suppose I could save further by purchasing tobacco in 5lb bags, but I’m still experimenting with different tobaccos and tubes. Tips: - For 100mm tubes, always pack the ends first using slightly more pressure than the middle. - For 85mm tubes, pack the butt end first (again slightly more pressure). I have small hands and using my pinky to block the other end of the filling area gives me the perfect length for these shorter tubes. - I clean it after 40-50 tubes or at the end of each session, if fewer. It takes only a minute and the only time it jammed on me was because I didn't clean it. - To keep tobaccos fresh, I vacuum seal mine in 1/2 gallon mason jars with oxygen absorbers and store them in a cool, dark place. Time will tell if this works well. If it does, I’ll start getting the 5lb bags (。^‿^。).

Super
