The Horrible, Miserable Middle Ages (Disgusting History)

I enjoyed reading this book, but didn't realize just how short it was until it arrived in the mail. I would have loved more information in a longer format, but for what it was, it certainly met some interesting expectations. I think it was very easy to get through, and understand. It also shed some interesting light on the past. We tend to glamorize history, but those who lived back then were pretty amazing, tough individuals.

Got kids? Learning history? Looking for something to engage an 8-year-old? Then this is the book for you! It's easy and gross, perfect for this age range: 8-10 year olds.

Fun book; especially showing the lives of real people. The pictures were great. The information well put for any age or education level. I am going to look for more of her books. (And yes, I am way, way past my youth.)

I bought this as a resource for my high school classroom, but it's a very skinny book and for elementary students.

great for a middle ages middle school report. interesting non fiction read

This book gets used in my High School World History courses. The kids think it is gross but are engrossed :) They are able to delve into the daily lives of people during this time period in a way that NO textbook would allow. Highly recommended.

Even though a children's book, could have a little more detail.

Good stories but not for children under 10.

Excellent! Chocked full of good info but presented in a fun way that grabs kids' attentions and plays on their imaginations. I only wish it was longer.
