Basil MIK Adapter Plate - Black, One Size

This product is a perfect solution to quickly removing my pannier bag from the bike. The bag I have uses velcro straps which were proving fiddly to attach and remove. The fitting of the bag to the MIK adapter took about 30 minutes. Once aligned to the bag I marked where the screws would go and then I cut holes through the fabric of the bag and screwed the adapter plate to the bag with the supplied fittings.The plate now just clicks into the rack and it's very secure. Unlike other people, I have left the straps on my bag and they give extra security because I now fasten them to a bar on the rack side to give that extra assurance that the bag is unlikely to fall off.

I did a lot of research before deciding on the right pet carrier for my bike. The carrier fits easily on to this bracket and keeps it secure. Easy to remove too.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this to attatch my box to my pannier on a quick release. Works great, easy to install. If anything its more secure than my last system as it has a key to release the plate.

The item is well made and easy to fit but don't be fooled by the locking catch and special key.You can just push the grey latch in with your finger to remove it. Not as secure as they would have you believe. On the plus side it's a secure mounting and is very quick to release . You don't even need the key.

Bought to replace a SnapIt adaptor which fitted my old bike. Thought I was going to have to drill holes in my SnapIt bag but the MIK holes matched up identically so this was the perfect replacement.

I wanted a solution to allow me to remove the dog basket easily from the bike and the MIK system does this brilliantly. Love that the basket is held on really securely yet detaches in seconds

This product is necessary if you wish to fit bags / baskets to a MIK / Massload bike rack and make removal / replacement of said bag easy. It comes with all the parts to make fitting to your bag a simple operation. The lock key is a work of art!

it fit and operated, holding my bike saddles in place and released easily when I wanted to remove the saddles.

If you want some flexibility in your MIK mounting options, this is what you need. I needed a way to secure a tailbag, and velcro to the rack just wasn't cutting it. The bag was always leaned over looking all sad. This let me attach a cutting board to the rack - which holds the bag securely.The adapter plate is made of PA6 nylon - the same stuff that good power tools use in their exterior plastics. Molding is precise and fits perfectly on an MIK rack. Do note that the spacers need to be set up for the first time and may not be in the correct configuration for your rack. Not sure why they ship this with a tool, as all you have to do is slip a finger under the 'keyhole' and push and it's disconnected. So don't expect any security out of the box, but it's super convenient. And really, are you locking all your zippers?You just can't beat these for the convenience and flexibility. Mount almost anything to one of these...bags, milk crates, top boxes, laser light shows...the possibilities are endless :)

Die Adapterplatte passt super für meine Gepächträgerbox der Marke Concept.Kann somit die Box auf einem Gepäckträger mit MIK Anschluß verwenden.Im Prinzip leichte Installation. 4 Löcher gebohrt und die Adapterplatte mit den beil. Schraubenam Boden der Box befestigt.Es wäre allerdings hilfreich, wenn eine Bohrschablone für die Bohrungen in den Boden der Boxbeigelegt wird. Habe mir eine Schablone aus Karton selbst bebastelt.
