Not up to Plow & Hearth's usual standard. This is the first time I bought something from them that I was unhappy with. The finish is not great and the welds are incomplete or missing. The fireplace tools are not up to my standards but I did not intend to use them anyway. One of the threaded inserts for the cross braces was completely stripped out so that I had to drill it out and put in a through bolt. However, it does serve the purpose and fits nicely in the space I have on the hearth, so I am keeping it. Oh yeah, do yourself a favor, if you have an 11 mm wrench get it out and don't use the piece of junk one that comes with the set!

Wonderful all in one place for everything I need for my fireplace! I got a wicker basket at Cost Plus that fits perfectly on the bottom for all of my fire starter stuff and looks great.

elegant a little difficult to assemble

Upon arrival it became clear just how cheaply made this product is. It is designed in such a way that the "wrench" they provide doesn't even fit in the narrow areas it needs to to tighten the nuts. Once assembled using other tools, the rack stands upright, but lists to one side or another depending on the weight of the wood in the rack.However, the worst thing was the "broom" that comes with the set. After our first fire last night, I picked it up to sweep out the fireplace, one swipe with the broom and the bristles completely fell off. The straw is bound tightly into a bunch and then essentially just shoved onto a bit under the hilt of the handle. There is nothing else to keep the broom handle attached the bristles.If you just want a rack to hold wood, this is fine, but don't expect to be able to use the implements in the set.

Looks beautiful

Don't buy this product. It is cheaply made (surprise! surprise!) in China. I thought it would have been much better coming from Plow & Hearth but it is a piece of junk. The bolts don't fit properly and the little tools that are supplied are the wrong size. There is no way to tighten the bolts enough to hold it together. Do yourself a favor and pass this one up.
