Justin Case: School, Drool, and Other Daily Disasters (Justin Case Series, 1)

I love Justin Case!
I read the first few pages while waiting to pick up my fourth-grade son from school, and much to my surprise, I couldn't put it down. I actually hogged it all to myself (cracking up through the whole thing) while my poor son waited not-so-patiently for me to finish. (Mean Mom!)There is just so much heart mixed up in the humor, I truly didn't want it to end. End it did, though, so I finally passed it along to my long-suffering son -- who just now walked in and said, "go ahead and give me a bookmark, mom, I finished the first page and I can tell I'm going to love it."And really, how could he not? Justin Case is a loyal friend, a sweet brother, a loving son, a good student, AND he somehow manages to be fantastically funny and sympathetic at the same time. Amazing.Thank you Rachel Vail, and please write more!

How can. boy NOT laugh!
My son received this as a giveaway for completing a book club. We all love it. Both my sons have read it, I've read it and even though my husband hasn't I often read passages to him. I've edited down and read passages to my kids classes. I would think most parents of boys can relate to Justin and his worries. And the sill goings on of third grade! Girls laugh out loud as well. We anxiously awaited sequels and the third book was recently released. We've all read it and are chomping at the bit for a fourth to come out! If this doesn't convince you, Justin's little sister writes a haiku about dog poo. ;-). But, that's as gross as it gets.

Justin K for anxiety & reading issues
Does your family have a worrier? Justin Case will crack you up. Have a reluctant reader? Presented as journal entries this series comes in digestible chunks with great illustrations. We read these aloud over and over. Today I'm even reading this one to our son's 4th grade class, hoping some of the kids will get hooked and read more.

bought for classroom
My boys all love Diary of Wimpy Kid. However, there are only so many books in that series. This book was something that came up as similar to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My boys love this book. I think there are more in the series (maybe 2 more) and I am waiting for a good price so I can buy them.

Very entertaining!
I bought this book for my 8 year old son to read. He is enjoying it a lot -- I hear him laughing out loud as he reads. Trying to find something that he will enjoy is a challenge -- this book fills the bill!
