Replacement was a breeze!!!
The most difficult step in replacing the top of the water hydrant was getting the old one off. After using some silicone spray lubricant it came loose & I replaced it with the new Merrill top!Simple & easy & great value I got a quote from a plumber for him to come out & replace it cost wast $300.I saved over $200 doing it myself!!

Perfect replacement
This yard hydrant head was a perfect replacement for the unit that got broken. It is solid, sturdy, easy to install and it’s red color is easy to see in the yard. I would buy this again when needed.

packing damaged
product is classic and works well for yard hydrants! however amazon sent in poor packaging & so the boxes they were in got all damaged with holes. these come with several small parts…so in the process of trying to make sure they are all there… ups probably didn't help

Best way to replace, hydrant head assy
Easy to install, once you removed the old heady assy. I had to cut relief's intothe old head assembly, with a angle grinder for metal relief on the stem pipe. One does not wantto twist the stem pipe, and break at bottom where connected. It had not been serviced or replaced since 2005, whenit was installed new. Much easier than digging up the entire Hydrant assembly andreplacing. Once removed, easy replace. DIY saved me a couple hundred bucks or more
