A projection clock is a must for me. I often wake up during the night and don't know if it is time to get up and get ready for the day, or if it is 1:00 a.m. I can't just glance over at a standard nightstand clock because I couldn't see it without putting on my glasses. This projection clock is GREAT! It replaced an older one I bought many years ago from Costco. There are several things which distinguish this unit for me: (1) It is very easy to set and change. My previous unit required me to pull out the instruction book every time DST came and went. (2) It is quite bright and the numbers are very large. My whole point is that I need glasses to see and I don't want to put them on in the middle night to see the time. The numbers are large enough that they are very clear even to my very poor eyes. And it is bright enough then during the dawn hours when light is coming into my bedroom, I can still see the numbers clearly. (I would add that the red color is such that it isn't too bright as to be a negative barrier to sleep). (3) The clock itself has nice, large, clear numbers, so if I walk to the bathroom and glance at the clock on my way back to bed, it is very easy to read even without my glasses. (4) I really LOVE the USB port. I was going to have to get a USB extension cord so I could put my Apple Watch on the nightstand while I charged it over night. But instead, I just plug it into the back USB port on this clock and it charges perfectly. I have not used the alarm clock or radio functions and don't intend to, so I can't comment on those.

We love the projection feature! This was the second clock we had bought for this purpose. It is nice and large and easy to read. You can also focus the time for clarity. The clock is easy to operate, I haven't figured out a radio station yet so I have to look closer. The clock itself has nice large easy to read numbers. It is just a great overall great clock!

I like this clock for its simplicity -- from the look of the case to setting the time to handling DST (Daylight Savings Time), this clock is well designed. The projector is way cool. It's like having an invisible secret clock built into the ceiling that can't be seen during the day. The biggest problem with digital clocks is DST. Congress has changed the dates that DST takes effect. Clocks bake the date into the internals. I have several clocks that are one hour wrong for a few weeks twice a year. This clock's solution is genius. When DST changes, press and hold the DST button for 3 seconds. Presto! the time is perfect. It even has a DST light so you know which mode the clock is in. Most of the other digital clocks I have owned have a dimmer for the display, but they don't dim the display nearly as much as I would like. This clock has 3 brightness settings. The third setting is perfect. I also like the AAA battery backup. I don't know why some clocks use expensive and hard to find button cells. I always have a couple of AAAs around. Some reviewers have stated that it's hard to set the time. Setting time is actually easy. The problem is the lousy instruction sheet. Here's how to set the time: Start by setting DST. Check the DST light on the display. If it isn't correct, press and hold the DST button for 3 seconds. If the display brightness changes, you didn't hold the button long enough. Try again. To set the time, many clocks require you to hold the "Time" button with one finger while pressing the "Hour" or "Minute" button with another finger. This clock is different, and that difference makes setting the time much easier. Press and release the "Time" button. The clock will go into the time set mode, which is indicated by a flashing display. While the display is flashing, press the hour or minute button until the time is set. When you are done, leave the clock alone and don't press any buttons for 5 seconds. The clock will exit the time set mode and the display will stop flashing. That's it. You're done. And you only need one finger. Setting the alarm or the radio station works the same way. The manufacturer says the clock can store 10 AM and 10 FM radio stations. I don't know about that. I set one AM and one FM station. It's easy to turn the radio on to either station. That's enough for me. After all, it's a clock, not a boom box.

I love this clock! I had a Brookstone projector clock and the projector bulb just failed. The Brookstone was so bright I had to cover it at night so I could sleep. This Mesqool has a dimmable display. The lowest setting is perfect at night. The projection is great and is easy to read on my textured ceiling. It was easy to set, is very slim and looks nice on my dresser. Overall for the price I'm very pleased. If it lasts longer than the Brookstone I'll be a happy camper. UPDATE: I had to change this from 5 stars to 1 after some light segments failed to work. I only had the clock for a week and several light segments that displays the time on the face stopped working. The projector still worked, but that's not what I paid for. Amazon did an amazing job of processing my refund in the same day I dropped the box off at UPS with the return label. Kudos to Amazon, but the clock sucked. I'm now using an old clock made by GE that has to be over 20 years old and still works like a champ. UPDATE January 30, 2018 - You're not going to believe this. Apparently companies read these reviews. I was contacted by email by Mesqool and offered a replacement clock. I didn't respond to the email because I thought it might be a scam. Today I received a brand new clock, completely free of charge and not requested by me from this company shipped directly from China along with a personalized letter. Wow! Just Wow! I wish all companies were like this. I plugged it in and it works great. The letter detailed many enhanced features. This company seems to be going out of their way to get our business. If the clock continues to work then it's a 5 star. Customer service is definitely 5-star +.

As described. Inexpensive, does the job needed as a basic alarm clock with a plastic shell and a large, clear display that dims, easy to set, alarm snooze or off, plug in or battery. The alarm beep is not jarring. (Not a clock-radio.)
