This is an enormous battery for the UV-5R which doubles the size of the handset, but still fits the standard desktop charger for charging. Battery life is excellent. One minor gripe is that there is a gap at the front between the bottom of the handset and the top of the battery, but does not affect function or durability. Good value add on for UV-5R for use when needing extended battery life or away from charging facilities.

These extended batteries not only give you more battery life but make the radio look and feel far more professional and substantial, clearly not a genuine baofeng item I must add and the fit isn’t 100% but they do fit and they don’t look too bad really. I’m happy enough and do recommend them.

I found this battery to be just as well built as the Baofeng UV-5R itself. I much prefer having more to actually grip when working portable and this battery does the trick (as well as having a higher capacity than the stock one). Has been charging fine in the stock baofeng cradle. Has a DC barrel plug on one side and so could be charged out of the cradle with an appropriate adapter.

Would leave zero of possible. The battery contacts are magnetic, so not copper. It won't charge in a Baofeng charger but has some residual charge. Something is rattling inside the case and therefore may be disconnected from the charge contacts. Opened it up as nothing measured on the charge tags. Look at the photos to see what's in it, including the weight to give heft, which it doesn't anyway. Looks like the weight came off its glue and cut the wires to the charge pads as it rattled around in transit. I'm sure you can see how a possible short might occur, should the metal weight come off. The fit on the radio is actually very good, but plastic is hard and possibly brittle, but nothing has broken off next. Because it won't charge, it's pretty much a one time use and throw away or attempt a repair. There is a charge port on the top left for some sort of charger. Repair attempted, weight removed, battery lasts no longer than my standard battery.

Really happy with this. Not only do you get longer battery life, you also get more to hold onto. I have fairly large hands so this is perfect for myself and the team.

Batteria ad alta capacità indispensabile per la uv5r... Aumenta a dismisura la durata, la rende più confortevole nell'uso (più comoda da impugnare), si aggancia perfettamente, arriva subito carica... Cosa chiedere di più?
