Surpassed my expectations
The showing of an entire apple going through in the picture is a little deceiving since only small apples can fit through the 3" wide diameter shoot. I find it difficult to find apples this size so usually they need to be cut into fourths. Not so bad when compared to my last juicer with which I had to cut them into sixths. However whole cucumbers (even thick ones), lemons, carrots... all these slide right through whole! This thing is also really quiet! My last juicer was also a "silent" juicer but even though it was less loud than most it still sounded like cats screeching. Neighbors in my building get disturbed easily so I couldn't use it during certain times, but this juicer is quiet enough that I've had no problems using it in the middle of the night without disturbing them. The smart cap is genius. Sometimes I end up making a little too much juice for the glass I'm using and just when the glass is about to overflow I can close the cap to leave the rest in the juicer for a couple of minutes until I get another glass. It also prevents dripping on the counter.Clean-up is a breeze. So much so that I find it almost fun to clean. I used to have an older Kuvings model and I didn't stay with it long because of certain things I didn't like. One of those things being the auger which was a pain to dismount and mount because it was short and almost the same height/width as the surrounding filter- which meant and I couldn't get my fingers down on the auger enough to pull it out easily. This auger is much taller and juts out of the filter by a good few inches so all you have to do is wrap your fingers around that and it comes right out. A quick rinse of the parts is all it takes. The filter takes me about 2 minutes to clean with the brush and the end of the brush is great for getting any debris out of the pulp shoot in the housing. All together it takes me about 4-5 minutes to clean; no exaggeration. Though it may take less or more time depending on what it is you juice. I usually do cucumbers, apples, turnips and turnip greens, Kale, garlic, ginger, parsley and lemon. Crushes it all like a dream. The manual says it can do wheatgrass and Almonds as well, but I haven't tried those things. There is very little foam in the juice and the pulp is nice and dry. This juicer also comes with an extra attachment for making deserts like frozen fruit treats and crushing ice.Really there is just nothing bad I can say about this juicer. It's perfect. The only thing missing is that it doesn't chill the juice for you! As no juicer has yet been invented that can do that, I just place the juice in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to get it nice and chilled before drinking.Update: Sept/20/2014 I recently started using the blank strainer to make sorbet deserts. OMG- Delicious! It doesn't seem to matter what kind of froze fruits you put in - banana, strawberry, mango, cherries, etc.... It all comes out tasting like the best sorbet icecream you've ever had! The juicer continues to work great. The only issue I've had is with the pusher. I washed it in the dishwasher (as I often do with all the parts), but for some reason the pusher expanded permanently while in the dishwasher and it warped in such a way that it no longer fits in the shoot. I contacted Kuvings about a replacement and am still waiting to hear back from them. I guess the lesson here is- don't put the pusher in the dishwasher.

Kuvings Juicer is a Top Rated Performer
The Kuving juicer exceeded my expectations in that the juicer left little bulk sediments in the end results.

Great juicer
Previously I used a Green Star twin gear juicer. Loved it, but it required constant pressure on the the veggies while feeding them into the machine. I have recently developed a degenerated disc in my lower back which made this painful for me so I gave my favorite juicer to a friend and was on a mission to find one that would be easier for me to use and would work as well. Juice I must!I was considering the Omega VRT 400 after seeing how easy it was to use in a video, but after reading the reviews there was talk of issues with the screen grinding the bottom surface of the bowl. I emailed them to see when they projected the issue would be corrected and never heard from them so I continued my search. I am so glad that I did. This juicer is not only easy to assemble, disassemble and clean, it is also easy to use. It takes up no more counter space than my Vita Mix and it fits under the cupboards. I store the catch containers and other accessories in a draw nearby. I found it took less time to use than my beloved Green Star and it did not cause me any pain in my back while using it as it is pretty much self-feeding with the exception of putting in some larger fruits or veggies. Even then it took little pressure, but I chose to quarter my apple and it did not need the plunger at all. The greens juiced well (and no foam) with my rotating them with the soft and hard veggies and fruits as I fed them in as suggested in the video. The only time the pulp was a little damp was when I fed too much apple in at once when rotating my greens, veggies and fruit otherwise the pulp was almost, not quite, as dry as with my Green Star. I would say a pulp dampness difference that is barely noticeable is a fair trade-off for such ease of use so I could juice daily again. I have not yet tried wheat grass so I will post a review when my flat grows tall enough to cut.The only place that took any work to clean was the pulp discharge shute. I had to manually clean out about a 3/4 inch of carrot pulp even after running a cup of water through the juicer while running in an effort to flush it out. I did not feel any of the brushes provided worked well for this task, but it was no big deal. The screen brush worked well and totally cleaned the screen thoroughly with about three twists. Even so, it took a lot less time and effort to clean than my previous juicer. I am sure those two "issues" will be resolved once I get past the "learning" stage of a new juicer. All in all, I love my new juicer and would totally recommend it.
