Unbelievable Curls WITHOUT using heat!!!
After researching these wonderful invention on Youtube (Whomever invented these babies, is downright genius!!!), I watched numerous videos on this product and then decided to purchase TWO sets (Extra Wide & Long http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YQM0ZM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2 and this one Extra Long & Wide). This product is NOT cheap and I was NOT disappointed with the results. First let me just say I have natural 4B/4C 16 inches long hair and my hair was really straight afterwards with using this product without heat on my hair to set the curls. I started on hair that was previously washed two days prior, sectioned each part of my hair into one and a half inch square, lightly sprayed it with Silicon Mix Bamboo leave-in conditioner mixed with setting lotion and water just to make it a bit moist, then I sealed in the moisture with a mixture of my homemade oils (coconut oil, Argan oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil and a few drops of peppermint essential oil) by placing a few drops on each section before I installed the Curlformer. I kept the Curlformers in for about 4 hours (only because I wasn't doing anything special that day) and then removed them. I was amazed and surprised at how my hair reacted to this product. I had shiny, bouncy curls that I didn't want to touch or mess up. It is two days later and although my curls have fallen and I have combed out the curls, I STILL have curls in my hair, but with a wavy effect. One side of my head has more curls than the other where I placed the Extra Long & Wide towards the front. The middle towards the back of my head where I placed the Extra Wide & Long, the curls have fallen the most. So if you want tight and smaller/narrow curls, I would suggest the Extra Long & Wide Styling Kit. My 8 year old wanted to try this on her 18 inch long 4B/4C hair as well, so she read the instructions herself (without my knowledge she was doing this), installed two of the Curlformers on her hair and had curls within two hours. So if my 8 year old can do this by herself, anyone can use this (unless you have some type of physical limitation). I definitely would recommend this product to anyone cause it's worth the money.

Truly Surprised
I was more than skeptical when I read about curlformers. I noticed that there were not many reviews from ladies with beautiful, but difficult to work with 4C hair type. With the cost of the product, I was hesitant to take a chance, but when I think of all the money that I waste on other things, I said to my self, what the heck. I used the curlformers last night. After watching You Tube, I was pretty confident that I could do it. They were pretty easy to put in when I twisted the root a little, made sure my hair was slippery enough with water and a setting lotion, and did not try to force too much hair in the curlformers. I used 48 curformers (40 extra-wide & 8 narrow-long) I still needed at least 3 more, but I made it work. My curls were beautiful - soft, bouncy and elongated. I liked both sizes, but I did like the big curls better. The big curls enabled me not to have to separate if I did not want to, because I already had the full look. I am planning on purchasing another eight pack, probably the long and narrow. Now they were uncomfortable to sleep in, but not unbearable. I have difficulty sleeping in any curlers, but it is better than frying your hair out with heat from curlers, and flat irons. I bought an extra large hair bonnet to restrict movement at night, and went to bed. If you have any doubt, trust me, I was a Doubting Thomas, but I can attest to a pretty curl. Now as to the hold, I don't know yet, but even if they only last for one day, I will take it. 4C beauties - when you are tired of twist, twist-outs, braids, etc., put some curls in those locks, and watch people stare with envy -until they fall of course - lol. Hope this helps someone.

Takes practice and a lot of patience! But worth it.
I really like these curlers. The only reason I gave them a 4 out of 5 is because there’s a learning curve. They’re pretty comfy but not comfy enough to sleep in unless you’re a heavy sleeper which I am not lol. I was about to brush out the curls and I actually missed two on the bottom that’s how unnoticeable some of them are depending on where they are on your head. They are light enough that I wouldn’t mind wearing them around the house for a few hours. I only wore them for about an hour, half an hour I waited for my hair to dry, blow dried my hair and then waited a little longer. Worked perfect! Pretty easy to put in once you get the hang of it. I sectioned my hair into two sections top and bottom. The trick is to be mindful of how big each section of hair you’re putting in the curler, it can’t be too big or it will rip your hair and won’t go in the curler. Twist the very top of your hair and hook it, then I pinched the rubber tube opening so that the hair could go through easier. You have to bring the curler a little over your hair and point the wand upwards. The only part that annoyed me was every other curler I had to reform, parts of it would get kinked and would be straight. It’s easy to reform but just adds extra time. The curlers are much easier to take out! I put my finger in the outside of the curl and straightened it out and pinched the rubber end open and my hair slid right out and the curl popped out beautiful! It looks so pretty once you brush and form the curls. My hair is pin straight, an extra tip I figured out is not using conditioner when you wash your hair. The conditioner weights the hair down and your curls will go away quicker, at least for my hair. Would definitely recommend these curlers if you have the time and patience to put them in!
