The number is for those people that throw away the directions without taking down the number for the company. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and hurt constantly. The only thing that helps is heat so when winter came last year I was looking for electric blankets for the bed but decided to go with a mattress pad for the difference in how the heat is dispersed. Over the past two years I have bought two cheap Sunbeams thinking they're all the same. Wrong. Sometimes you do really get what you pay for. Both of the Sunbeams controllers went out, one within a year and the 2nd one was only a couple of months. I'm still trying to get in touch with them to see if they'll send me new controllers. In the meantime, I really needed that heat in the cold weather so came looking for mattress pads again. I've only had this one a week and I'm loving it so far. However, one of the controllers didn't work. I've just gotten off the phone with the company and talked to a nice man named Dan who is sending out a new controller tomorrow. I believe he is one of or the owner of the company. He apologized profusely and told me to make sure to call them back if I had any more problems. They also do after warranty repairs if you need them. I followed their instructions or suggestions on here and ordered a cheap cotton mattress pad to put over the elec. one. With Fibro I feel every single little thing close to my skin and the extra mattress pad took care of that problem. I was always restless at night trying to find a spot for my shoulders on the Sunbeams where I wasn't laying on those wires. Granted if I had thought it was safe I probably would have done the 2nd pad with the Sunbeams but that still wouldn't have fixed the problem of the controllers going out. This mattress pad had such good reviews I decided to spend the extra money to see if there would be a difference between this and SB. So far, I'm loving this pad a whole hell of a lot compared to the SB. The heat is evenly dispersed and I love that part at the top that has no heat more than I thought I would. Since I've only had this a week, I'm going to give it more time and see how it does. I love the fact it is made in the US, it's a nice thick pad and I have no problem with seeing the controllers or changing them. The cords are nice and long, even the one from the controller to the electric outlet. If something happens I'll come back and edit this. But right now I'm going to say you can buy with confidence.

We bought this blanket in a California King because I got tired of freezing to death through the winter. We've had it for just over a month, and I am very pleased with it. We have a 13" depth mattress and this fits with plenty of room if we got one that was thicker (I'd guess up to 16" easily). It stays on the bed without moving (we have it under our fitted sheet), and warms up the bed perfectly. There are several setting Low, 1-9, and High. The bed heats up fairly quickly, and the heat stays with you after you've turned it off. The dual controls are perfect for us, and the chords are adequately long to come back up to the head of the bed and sit on a nightstand next to the bed. So far we are very pleased with this purchase.

Made in the US, good quality and keeps me warm. My complaints are the buttons are loud when adjusting the temperature level and the illuminating light should be less than 10 seconds. It disturbs my baby, but otherwise it keeps me warm during cold nights.

Really nice. The King XL fits our California King bed perfectly. We have purchased this type of bed warmer covers before for smaller beds and have loved them. Especially, living in the North. The Electrowarmth come with two controls that run from the end of the bed, under the bed, up to the front of the bed with plenty of room to spare. We pulled them through the bed frame and they hang easily from there and are not easily seen. So far so good...seems to be working great. We have been using it for almost a month now.

The controls needed to be plugged into 2 sep outlets...not available by our bed The controls and plugs are on the BOTTOM of the bed...does not work with our bed Tried to put on upside down so controls and plugs could be at top, BUT THE BOTTOM 2.5 FEET OF THE BED WARMER ARE NOT WIRED TO WARMER (they plan this to be under your pillow??)

I find that most California size bedding is not adequate .I bought this particular California size bed warmer because it was a dual dial but as you see from the photo it is not a perfect fit .The price I didn't mind but the size should be much better.I have to say the quality otherwise is good ,you don't feel any cords and a warm bed at nite is a dream ! I will keep it but there is room for improvement on the size ....with most California bedding

This mattress pad is exactly what I have been looking for. Gets warm instantly and worth every penny you pay for it. We have used a heated mattress pad every Winter for over 5 years. This is the one you need to purchase..

Having two controls is the only way to go. I am always hot and he is always cold. He can now heat the bed up as warm as he likes it, and I can stay nice and cool. The size was also perfect...fits on out Cal King bed with ease.

A great product that works well.
