Pros-This book offers so many different ideas for the numerous star patterns or there for quilters. The fabrics that would work well in specific blocks are also provided. The sewing layout is easy to understand.I liked this so much, I bought one for the other two women I quilt with. Very inexpensive. I think shipping was more than the actual book costs.Cons-Not enough pages... I want more! 🤩

Excellent collection of star-based quilts (44 of them on 224 pages).I have to admit that I love quilting and have an extensive quilt book library that includes hundreds of books that I refer to often. (I don't keep the ones that I don't find of interest.) Because of my, um, book collection? I recognize (and already own) quite a few of the quilts in this book by favorite designers like Kim Diehl, Jo Morton, Kim Brackett, Jeanne Large and Shelley Wicks, Gerri Robinson, Carrie Nelson, and others. But, that's okay. If I don't have a certain designer's style in mine when I decide to start a new quilting project, I can simply turn to a compilation book like this Star-Studded Quilts book.The book is broken down into three sections: Small Quilts, Lap Quilts, and Bed Quilts.Cutting and piecing instructions are clear with relevant pictures. Since this is a quilt pattern book, there are no basic/general quilt making instructions.There are quilt designs suitable for all skill levels.Just about every quilt style is represented in this book. A few, maybe like three? include a bit of applique. The applique shapes are full size and appear with the quilt project. You use whatever applique method you prefer. Two of the three designs are wool applique (but you can always use quilting cotton instead). Star quilts are typically thought of as traditional in nature but several of the designs would likely appeal to quilters who are interested in a modern-type quilt that has simplified piecing, fewer fabrics and more white space.If I were offered purchasing do-overs, would I buy this book again? You betcha!

This book gives me a new set of quilt patterns to choose from. I'm really excited to start on one of them.The only downside (and I'm not sure who is at fault for this) was that multiple orders were sent together and the other item was a liquid, that leaked, and the book was damaged. It's still usable so I didn't make a fuss.

Le he puesto 5 estrellas porque el libro es estupendo pero ,le hace falta una pg al final y no terminar con uno de los quilts y la cubierta queda cutre ,una pena porque el contenido se merece una encuadernacion mas cuidada.Aconsejaria tambien a todos los que escriben y editan libros de pachwork pusieran una tabla de equivalencias de pulgadas y yardas a centimetros y metros seria de agradecer y util llevo mas de 20 años haciendo pacwork y nunca he usado dichas medidas y siempre he tenido que buscar su equivalencia si queria saber que tamaño tenia la labor , tenganlo en cuenta .gracias

I really like this book as there different sorts of quilts and also some table runners. Good for beginners and also more advanced. One or two of the patterns l have seen in other books but there are plenty of new ideas.
