Genuine OEM part from Japan. I usually don’t spend so much for an oil filter except for my Kubota tractor and my couple of Subarus. They tend to run fairly high pressure oil systems and the extra measure of confidence in using OEM parts offsets the little bit more I pay for the real deal. YMMV…

Only oil filter I use
I own a 2015 Subaru Legacy with the 3.6R limited engine and this is the only filter I use on my car. Just add some oil on your index finger wipe around the seal and fill the filter about a quarter the way and spin it on. Take your time lining threads up and hand tightened, very satisfied with quality and leak free this oil filter offers. I’ll continue to buy from Amazon.

Outback 3.6R
I have been introduced to the sub-culture of the Subaru Outback and decided to start off my ownership of such a fine automobile by over stocking my garage with oil filters. My local dealer does not carry oil filters so my first few oil changes I was using the correct filters made by Wix. The Wix filters are very good. Good quality at a good price but I wanted to see why so many people prefer these filter. So I bought a few. They seem to be good quality as well and buying several at once saves a little more on the cost. They install easily as they should and I have had no issues with the first few oil changes. I will likely continue to buy these filers for my 2018 Outback, 3.6.

Worked as intended, no complaints from my mechanic. I was skeptical at first but it worked just fine and it was easier to find here then on a shelf of dozens.
