Solid steel won't wear right away like some other so called metal gears

I purchased two sets of these for a non RC project. They are work great for the projects I am using them for.

I've installed in my RedCat Blackout XTE with the 29T pinion and 4300KV motor and never could get a full trigger pull off it! way to fast and it would just get squirrely. I've already stripped out 4 of the pinions They're not steel they are like a powdered aluminum or some composite, they cant take a lot of torque. As someone else's review stated buy a steel pinion elsewhere but good luck i cannot find one in the right pitch, i believe these are 64p gears because 32P and 48P dont work. I also installed in my Maverick Quantum NOT quantum 2. The largest pinion i could get to fit The Maverick was the 21T it stripped almost immediately but i had a loose motor screw so maybe my fault on that one. I had to shorten the center shaft locking pin on the Quantum a tiny bit to get it to fit. other than that it went together well. I Had to shim the RedCat with two washers on the motor mount side. I wasn't able to get the C clip back on it but it shouldn't be needed as its a good fit with the washers added in. The spur gear is great the pinions do not last but that maybe how they want them, of the 4 pinions i have stripped out one have hurt the spur gear at all. As cheap as they are the spur gears worth it if you can find an actual steel pinion that will work you'll be golden. I removed a star for all the stripped out pinions i have had to go through, getting sick of replacing them. JRockZ!

These gears will work on the Redcat Blackout, but the collar of the spur gears have to be ground down to allow the c clip to be re installed, other than that they seem fine for the 1st month.
