I had a high intensity lamp that was bright enough to light an entire room well. It no longer works and I was looking for a strong light to replace it. This light provides adequate light for the room, although it is not quite as bright. It provides enough light for my work.

Very happy with this purchase. Has a dimmer, not a remote control. Good light, happy with the finish and sturdiness! All in all a WIN! :-)

Decent, cheap, bright lamp. I like bouncing light off the ceiling. It gives you a much broader, more pleasant light. I'm not usually one for built-in LEDs, as you can't replace them or change the brightness/color, but in this case there is probably not much choice. There is a dimmer.

Does what it should. I like the different light level adjustment. My old torchiere had a 3-way bulb--expensive and burned out too often. I have it on a timer, working great.

We put the lamp together - it was easy. As far as stability, you have to make sure that everything is clicked into place and properly put together. The wire had to be fed through to the bottom as you assemble so that you have enough wire to reach the plug and also give room in the poll.We are very happy with this lamp and appreciate the switch in the center of the poll, as we have it in a corner on top of a base speaker.

The color and quantity of the light from this lamp is really nice for my home office, and it's easily adjustable during the day so I don't have to experience unnecessary glare on my working computer screen. The light output is a warm glowing color when at half-strength. My only demerit is for the quality of the "antique bronzed" color effect on the base and the pole -- it just looks too cheap. Maybe consider the solid color versions of this lamp if decor quality is a concern for you?

Esta genial solo hay que tomar unos minutos para que la primera unión de la base quede bien recta y asi ya que se unan todas las piezas quede derecha la lampara. El dimmer manual funciona perfecto para dar la intensidad que uno quiera.
