Came to me Broken
This was the first time something like this has happened, but the product came to me broken. Not in the sense that it was shattered or anything but i wasn't receiving any sound through the right ear and the sound was sometimes coming through on the left. When it did it was distorted.I had to call Plantronics and luckily they had a very good help desk who gave me all i needed to return the product and get a brand new one. I was a bit bummed out seeing as i payed extra for the 1 day shipping and i had to wait a week and a half for my product to come anyways since i had to return it, but all in all the headset was decent. You aren't going to get pristine sound with it but it's a definite bang for you buck. The mixer is really awesome and the thing i love most about it, is that if you don't absolutely love the headset, you could always purchase a different one and continue using the mixer. My computer lately as been slow since it's coming of age and alt+tab to change my volume becomes a hassle, with the mixer it makes it so much easier and more convenient. Big upvote for that one.Sound quality through the mic I hear is pretty basic. You can hear me quite well but its nothing spectacular. Chances are though you aren't going to care too much about how you sound seeing as you are more centered on the sound you're receiving. Which I thought did fine, as i said before not pristine but i also didn't pay for top of the line. This sounded a lot better than i thought it would, and it can get loud too which since im a metalhead does me well. All things aside I do recommend the headset, it's very versatile and every function they advertise has worked perfectly for me, from the volume mixer to answering a phone call when in a game. (was fun to finally get the chance to try that one out.) I would give it a higher rating but the fact that i had to pay for 1 day shipping and receive it broken killed it for me. Other than that though I'm still using it and plantronics has done well for trying to make a better name for themselves.GOOD JOB! :D

Definitely not great
I had no issues setting this up with my PC or my PS3, and the sound quality was fine. Comfort was fine, the feature of adding a music playing device through the auxiliary input is nice as well, and as a pair of slightly amped headphones, they're okay. For the price, again, not great, and I'm sure many people who hear these would prefer the sound signature from a pair of Superlux for half of this, or even a pair of Shure in-ears for around the same price.Anyway, the reason I gave this a 3-star review isn't because of the mediocre sound signature. No, the 3-star review is for the microphone and it's terrible gain. I had issues using the microphone in an online setting from the day I got it(PS3), even with the microphone levels being raised to max. No matter of changing my volume or settings throughout the headset or console fixed the issue, and I tried both microphones to see if one was faulty. It's okay on the computer, but I'm not sure if that's because of a better driver compatibility or because the operating system has a more dynamic microphone level system. Regardless, this didn't work for what I intended to use it for. Your mileage may vary, though I've heard the same thing from other PS3 owners.

Great Gaming Headphones
The hookup on this was a little frustrating for my PS3. I wanted to use a digital audio cable but was unable to in the end.First off, Plantronics customer service was great. They responded to me extremely quickly each time I emailed them. This was my setup:- Digital optical cable connected from Plantronics Mixer to PS3- USB cord connected from mixer to PS3- Headphones connected to mixer- "Multiple Output" sound option turned ON in PS3 Settings Menu- Multiple configurations were attempted in the Accessory Settings Menu.Symptom- My partner can hear me talk but I can barely hear him, the mixer did not adjust the mic and game sounds independently as advertised.I ended up buying a RCA connector instead and using the adapter they sent with the headphones. The setup worked fine after this and they offered to send me a replacement part to see if it was an issue with the digital optical cable connector on the mixer. After figuring this out, the setup worked perfectly. Take warning if planning on using a digital optical cable.Other Positives:- Comfortable- Loud (if desired)- Able to customize the sound output- Clear Sound- I really enjoy being able to hook up my phones music to it

As an overall view, I love this headset.
I bought mine a few months ago and it still sounds just as well as the day I bought them. I use them easily everyday while I game, and for the price they are quite impressive. The sound suits all my game needs (CoD, WoW, CSGO, etc.) and I plan to continue to use them til the day they brake. The RIG is an amazing feature, and was the main reason I picked the headset, and it really does prove effective when I need to change from my game to a phone call, or vice versa. My only reasoning for not rating 5-stars is the comfort level. The band on top is padded, but users who will wear the product for hours+ will find that it does not keep your head in the best comfort. Another slight problem, not really a problem for me, but the in-line mic does not bend like most other mics do, so depending on your head shape you might have slight problems. But as said before, love the product and I for sure plan to grab another pair when this one gets stepped on!
