Best Headset I've Ever Bought
I've had this headset for almost two years and it's probably one of the best purchases I've ever made.Sound quality is brilliant. I use it mostly for music on the go or video calls on my desktop. (Other sounds, including in game sounds run through my speakers). The mic is PERFECT for talking. However, that's all it's good for. I tried using it to record singing or music and it doesn't do well - even with a muffler.I love the capabilities this headset has too. So easy to mute from the control dial as well as switch between calls and video chat when you're in the middle of a game. It's nice being able to use it as a headset on the go too, so I can still participate in calls when I'm on the go or not at my own desktop. The comfort is out of this world. I've tried 5 different headsets and this one trumps them all - including Razer, SteelSeries, and Ozone. Starts to get to you after continuous use - by which I mean playing games literally from when you wake up till you go to sleep. So for regular gamers this is perfect. The design is simple yet sophisticated. It doesn't have a bunch of lights, but it still matches the theme of my set up and I'd rather comfort and sound quality over flashy lights.I still can't believe how cheap this headset was given how amazing it is. Hands down one of the best purchases I've made and will definitely continue to use Platronics for my headsets in the future.

meh.
(UPDATE) Buyer beware. I have owned these for 7 months now and this headset has been THE WORST headset I have ever had. Turtle Beach makes a better product than this. The wires/cords have bad connections and created echo and loud static for everyone I was chatting with, including myself. The cheap plastic broke so the ear piece is no longer attached. I contacted Plantronics customer service about the wires and they want me to ship it too them to be replaced. I think I've spent enough money on this product I don't want to spend more on shipping since I'm 2500 miles away from where they want me to ship it.I love the sound that comes from the headphones, when I can get the cords to work. I have returned 2 sets of headphones because cords wouldn't work, or had a ton of static, popping, or hissing. I'm still not happy with the cords but the headphones have great sound, the mic picks up clearly (according to my gaming friends on the other side of the chat), and they are comfortable. I guess I'm OK with them, I would replace them again but I'm tired of the process already.

I did enjoy it at first BUT THEN
I had some issues with the BOOM MIC and was/am not able to find a place to purchase a new BOOM MIC CABLE. The BOOM MIC CABLE broke almost instantly, within two weeks of use the cable started to make popping noises in the right side and just finally died and all sound is lost in the right side.I wrote a review on PLANTONICS website for this headset and they immediately deleted it because i complained that they do not have a section to purchase replacement parts for there gaming head phones but they have replacement parts for every other device they sell. I found that disturbing and it has completely turned me off to plantonics. That they would go so far as to delete someones honest review of there product.Plantonics customer service is not very good at all. I do NOT recommend these headphones. Save up forty more dollars and buy a Turtle Beach or some other reliable brand. These Plantonic headphone cables are poorly built and tear inside too easily.

Came to me Broken
This was the first time something like this has happened, but the product came to me broken. Not in the sense that it was shattered or anything but i wasn't receiving any sound through the right ear and the sound was sometimes coming through on the left. When it did it was distorted.I had to call Plantronics and luckily they had a very good help desk who gave me all i needed to return the product and get a brand new one. I was a bit bummed out seeing as i payed extra for the 1 day shipping and i had to wait a week and a half for my product to come anyways since i had to return it, but all in all the headset was decent. You aren't going to get pristine sound with it but it's a definite bang for you buck. The mixer is really awesome and the thing i love most about it, is that if you don't absolutely love the headset, you could always purchase a different one and continue using the mixer. My computer lately as been slow since it's coming of age and alt+tab to change my volume becomes a hassle, with the mixer it makes it so much easier and more convenient. Big upvote for that one.Sound quality through the mic I hear is pretty basic. You can hear me quite well but its nothing spectacular. Chances are though you aren't going to care too much about how you sound seeing as you are more centered on the sound you're receiving. Which I thought did fine, as i said before not pristine but i also didn't pay for top of the line. This sounded a lot better than i thought it would, and it can get loud too which since im a metalhead does me well. All things aside I do recommend the headset, it's very versatile and every function they advertise has worked perfectly for me, from the volume mixer to answering a phone call when in a game. (was fun to finally get the chance to try that one out.) I would give it a higher rating but the fact that i had to pay for 1 day shipping and receive it broken killed it for me. Other than that though I'm still using it and plantronics has done well for trying to make a better name for themselves.GOOD JOB! :D
