Bringing Heaven into Hell

This book provides greater clarity on what praise is, and how it brings us into more intimate friendship with and love for God. Praise is not a button to press on heaven's vending machine. Praise brings us closer to God's very heart and purpose for our lives. We were made for His glory.

Principle of praising is always true in all circumstances. So, why don't I do it all the time? We grow as we go..

Elegant in it's simplicity, profound in it's depth.I'm always cautious about books that friends say are 'must reads' for certain situations. We all have a desire for quick and easy answers and I find those to be more often shallow and distracting than actually helpful in addressing fundamental issues. So I was very reluctant to read this the first time it was suggested to me more than 20 years ago, but I did because I trusted the man who gave it to me, and I was desperately in need of hope...It's an easy read, but very hard to forget. It's still with me two-and-a-half decades later, and so is my family which was very much at risk during my 'hell' that led me to a place of listening. No short answers here, but easy to grasp concepts that can change lives in the contexts of deep pain and our relationship to a God that never stops loving us.

Thank God for the work that He did in Merlin's life, that we might share the wisdom endowed him of the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus' blood in the many books this man has brought to both new and confirmed converts/disciples of Christ. Mr. Carothers book series is an incredible tool in the life of born again believers as are these other titles: "The Tongue - A Creative Force" by Charles Capps, "The Power of the Positive Confession of God's Word" and "If Nobody Reaches Nobody Gets Touched" by Don GossettPraise God for the miracles of healing and for the correction of wrong teaching that these servants have been blessed by God to manifest here in this place through these texts in support of the Word of God.

I was struggling with guilt over wrong choices and especially ways I had wronged others. This book helped me to completely let that go! I am so free! Also, it is helping me to give real thanks in every situation and have so much joy that I never thought I could have. And I'm not even finished with the book yet!

Never have I read a book that has changed my life for the better like this book has! This book is the best and is an easy read! If you are ready to learn about God and Learn how to Forgive and Apply Forgiveness in you life this is the book for you!

I have read this book as well as Prison to Praise. This book is so deep and so to-the-point that Carothers leaves you squirming with no where else to go but to submit your life to God's will and thank Him for whatever it is that He is allowing.There is no escape, submit to the circumstance and praise Him FOR it. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to take you to the next level of praise. I myself will need to read it several times through because my flesh is balking at all of the Biblical points that Carothers is making.

A friend of mine recommended this book to me. Quick and simple read, the concepts are revolutionary when it comes to dealing with this lost world. The writer gives you plenty of biblical background and offers the idea of gratitude in a different light. I will read again and again. For those of you how are interested in christian reading materials, I highly recommend this book as part of your collection. Thanking God for your problems and confronting them head on is the only way to get through them. God Bless you and this writer for giving us this gift.

Installation was fast and very successful.The contents are good but unfortunately the role of the husband as the head of the family was almost subdued and the section of Ephesians 5:22 to 29 which makes it crystal clear that wives should be submissive to their husbands in all circumstances was virtually suppressed.That is the main cause of anarchy and divorces in many homes and society today.That is even better articulated in 1Corinthians 11:3.

Whilst Merlin Carothers first book, 'Prison to Praise' was excellent for those new to faith, this book is of particular use to those with 'issues' in their lives. This means that it has an appeal to not only to those new to faith, but also to those who might be further along the road of following the Lord.Again, it is excellent.

Just nothing in the book that interested me.

This was a re-read after many years and it's as true now as all those years ago. God Bless abundantly all who read it.
