Works great, no complaints
It just works. It feels solid and well built, the fit and finish is great. The latch for releasing the cover is smooth and easy to use. The included cable is high quality and I get fast speeds. Really nothing to complain about, it just works exactly like you would want. Had it now for a few months and so far no problems at all.

Perfect enclosure and it is great to restore deleted files unlike a thumb drive.
I recently purchased the SSK Aluminum M.2 to USB NVMe SATA SSD Enclosure Reader from Amazon for $18.99, and I must say that I am quite impressed with the product. The enclosure works beautifully, just as advertised. However, some people complain about the top speed of the device not reaching full potential, but it's important to keep in mind that it states the top speed is 10gb/s, and the drive needs other efficient hardware to reach full potential.(I just noticed in my pic the particular PC I am using has a USB-C that I am not plugged in to which would speed this drive up, it is nice to have it be able to plug in both types)While some people have complained about the tiny thumb screw, I believe it's understandable given the size of the drive and enclosure itself. The product is priced reasonably at $16-20, so I don't think people should be whining about it. The USB-A and C cables included with the product worked just fine for me, although they are a bit short.I purchased this product to expand an additional SSD hard drive in my computer that I installed games on, and it was great. I was able to copy my existing SSD drive onto a new expanded size Drive and then place what was in the enclosure in my computer. I took out the SSD that wasn't my computer and now I have a massively sized external hard drive to play around with. It was definitely worth the money. One thing to note is that unlike a thumb drive, files that are deleted do not permanently disappear. They are put in a trash can, and you can restore or undelete the file by pressing Ctrl Z.Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase of the SSK Aluminum M.2 to USB NVMe SATA SSD Enclosure Reader. It works great, is slim and easy to use, and has a solid drive holder that is not going to slip or come loose. The holding screw is a bit tricky to install, but once it's done, it's great. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a slim M2 enclosure for their backup or just a huge USB thumb nail type drive with tons of storage.Make sure to use the "Safely remove hardware" function to unplug this, or turn the PC off before unplugging to prevent corrupting the drive.

Does What it is Supposed to Do
Does what it is supposed to do. The screws are small so be careful. Cable connects great, it's built well, functions well, pretty easy to put together. I keep a twin M.2 hard drive in it and back up my laptop to it a couple or 3 times a year. When my laptop's M.2 drive gives up the ghost, and it will, I'll be ready. Quick swap and done. Good speed, too. Backs up fast.

Small built well and works
Its a nice design, pretty small and the cause feels sturdy. I used it in conjunction with Samsung evo980 when upgrading the older nvme drive in my laptop. It worked great with Samsung Magic, once I did the transfer and made the update windows loaded fine.It does get kinda hot but thats probably a good thing, it means the heat transfer from the chip to the case is working. The only downside is that the usb-c plug to the case doesn't hold it as well as the end that goes into my laptop does. I accidentally bumped it during the data transfer and it disconnected. I had to restart the drive migration. But besides that it worked well

Very Easy to Use
I do not use this a storage device. I use it to image NVME drives or to copy data to (or from) a drive that is then used elsewhere. For that purpose it works very well, is easy to use, and is a good value. When not being used it is small and compact enough to store out of the way.

SSK Al USB-C to M.2 NVMe Enclosure Reader - Great Value
Pros:- Inexpensive compared to other enclosures.- Works with M.2 2240, 2260, & 2280 NVMe SSD.- Tool Free- Easy to use.- Comes with heat transfer tape pads.Cons:- The little screws holding the SSD to the enclosure are somewhat awkward to install.Summary:This aluminum NVMe enclosure does the job that other enclosures do but at less than 2/3 the price of its next low price competitor. I used it to initialize and format some 2TB Samsung 970 EVO drives and Silicon Power 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe drives for upgrades on some laptops. I also used the enclosure to do cloning of the OS, software, and files off the smaller NVMe drives in the PC's using the USB-C port. Everything was easy and simple with the drives and enclosure recognized immediately by Windows 10. I experienced no signs of overheating even though I did not use the heat transfer tape provided. The only small inconvenience was the small screw (hence small inconvenience) used to hold the SSD to the enclosure board. It is round and rotates in the enclosure board when trying to put the nut on from the other side. It can also fall out of the enclosure board when turning it over to install the SSD. My solution was to put a small piece of tape over the screw head to hold it in place while installing the SSD and putting on the nut. I took the tape off after installation. After I figured that out, it saved me several minutes of finicky time when changing out SSD's in the enclosure. A very minor point that I did not detract any stars from the review for.I recommend this SSK Enclosure because of the low price for high performance.
