RSVP International Endurance Collection Stainless Steel Kitty Litter Scoop, 4.75x2.5x11.25

I should have had this product 30 years ago when I had 3 cats and the youngest lived until he was 22. Now, I've had two more cats for the past 6 years and just now discovered this masterpiece. It's a work of art! The handle seems a little rough at first, but it's easy to get used to. (Remember,it's all metal) But it is SO freaking fabulous...I purchased a second one for our other cat box. It's easy to clean with soap and water. If you get some wet debris on it while scooping, might want to wipe it dry because it does harden on the scoop if you don't. Just like the plastic ones. I feel this plows through the litter like a frigging brush hog! No resistance at all. Definitely would recommend..

I was looking for a better kitty litter and found this YouTube channel where this woman reviews all kinds of kitty litter. And they all seem to be honest reviews, not reviews paid for by the sponsor. Anyway, she always uses this scoop and put a link to it in the description. Good call. This scoop gives me lots of confidence when scraping the sides and bottoms of my litter box. Very sturdy. Then very easy to clean afterwards.

This scoop is hands-down the BEST scoop I've ever purchased.I've owned kitties all my adult life. Currently, I have two fur children; Nicodemus von Wittykitty, and Prince Legolas of Mirkwood. To accommodate their pottying needs, I have two large kitty litter pans, which I scoop daily.As most cat owners know, plastic scoops are worthless; if wet litter sinks to the bottom of the pan, dries out and gets stuck, the handle of a plastic scoop will most likely snap if you try to use it to break up, scrape, and remove said litter from the pan.The issue with many metal scoops is over time, the cat urine will corrode the metal in the scoop portion. Previous metal scoops I've owned have lasted from 3-8 months before the corrosion caused the edge of the scoop and/or the metal between the slots to break off, rendering the scoop useless..I purchased this scoop in November, 2015. Here we are in May, 2018 - 2 1/2 years later - and this scoop is STILL going strong! There are no signs of corrosion whatsoever, nor has any part of the handle bent or become loose even with daily use. I can use as much pressure as necessary to loosen dried clumps of litter on the bottom/sides of the litter pan with no worry the handle will snap.Every few weeks I take a paper towel and flake off any dried litter stuck to the scoop, then wash it with an SOS pad and hot water. When clean, it looks as if it's brand new.I find the size and spacing of the slots/holes in the scoop portion to be adequate. I use Tidy Cats Lightweight Clumping kitty litter, and the scoop picks up all but the smallest clumps (I'd say anything pea-sized or larger).Extremely satisfied with the performance of this scoop. We have 5 cats and 4 large litter boxes. I have always used plastic litterbox scoopers and I just never thought of the option of a metal one before. Until the other day when the plastic handle cracked and sent me off to buy another one. Hmmmm, I wonder if they DO make metal ones. Amazon to the rescue!! This stainless steel scoop is BY FAR the best litterbox scoop I have ever used. Litterbox cleaning is a snap!!!I have read other reviews where people complain about the uncomfortable edges on the back of the handle which is hollow. This is a VERY simple fix, folks. Yes, the metal edges are rough in the fingers, but I made a simple adjustment and VOILA!!, problem solved. Rolled up paper towels stuffed in the back of the handle and then wrap duct tape around the whole handle. In the last photo you can see the back of the handle is rounded - that’s just the extra paper towel that I used to make it extra comfortable. I have attached a few photos to show the result of what I did. This is a way to easily make this handle more comfortable until the makers figure out how to roll in those edges on the back of the handle. And if you think it’s ugly to duct tape the handle, remember you are scooping pee balls and poop with it. Who cares what it looks like. It does the job like a boss!! That’s all I care about.Absolutely 5 stars! I am recommending this scoop to everyone I know who has cats. And the funny thing is, my old plastic one is exactly the same shape as this stainless one!! This is a great litter scooper, the only thing that is not perfect about it is the handle which I still find a little uncomfortable even though they have revamped it and made it better. I like other people that I have read on here just put tape around the handle and then it is a lot more comfortable to hold. Very durable works great. My last one like this I had for about 10 years.

The scoop is sturdy and litter doesn't sick to it.

Have been using many various scoops over the years- all have been some form of plastic or aluminum alloy or a variation of materials. This is by far the best one we have ever used. Very strong n sturdy, easy to use and easy to clean. Slots are well placed in the scoop. Will never need to ever buy another one again. We've had cats for over 38 years.

Compared to the flimsy plastic one we used to use, this thing is a definite upgrade. It's built really solid and has been very easy to clean. Recommended for anyone who is tired of having their plastic litter scoops bend or break while scraping the litter pan.
