As a fairly new Once, I was so psyched about this adorable sweatshirt that I spent way too long trying to convince myself to love it before I could finally admit there's simply not much to love besides the cute design. I admit, in my overeagerness, I mistook it for official JYP merchandise. It definitely is not. I should've paid closer attention, but even looking back, I think it's understandable how certain details could be misconstrued by newcomers to the fandom. However, I would've expected a much nicer hoodie either way based on the cost alone.If I'm shelling out extra cash for the branding, I at least expect a high quality product in return. In this case, there's a huge discrepancy between price and quality. The thin, stiff fabric feels like something from the clearance bin of a cheap discount store and the stitching is poorly done. The print looks sloppy and even the zipper doesn't work well.I'm 5'5"/120lbs and got a medium hoping for a roomy fit. It runs small though and the torso is very form-fitting. I'm obviously no fan of the fabric, but I mainly don't enjoy wearing this due to various odd features of the shirt's general design. First, the cuffs are unusually long and extremely tight compared to the sleeves, which puff out and can't be rolled up comfortably. Second, the pockets are so flat, they're essentially useless. The worst part by far though is the hood. My head is on the small side, yet this hood is so egregiously tiny it doesn't cover even half of it. The drawstrings are so high that it tightens right across my face instead of under my chin like normal. The silver lining of the hood being too short to stay up is that it doesn't hang low enough to obstruct the design, but that absolutely doesn't make up for the fact that I can't wear this hoodie as a hoodie.I tried so long to force myself to be happy with it that I missed the return window, so I'll probably just hang it up and gaze at it longingly sometimes, thinking about what could have been and trying not to be sad I wasted my money on it. Perhaps I can at least help others avoid the same fate.
