Simer 3420P 2 HP Spinkler System Pump

I gave this a 4 because the packaging and pump (electronic cover was damaged. I didn't what to wait another week or more to get a replacement so I hoped for the best and installed this Against the advice of my "expert". 1 because it was half the price of his recommendation. 2 this is the same pump that I inherited when I bought the house 6 years ago (don't know how long it was in service prior. 3 It was easy to install. Fortunately the damage did not effect the pump from working properly and it is doing its job delivering the water to my lawn. The previous one died due to some flooding and other factors that caused it do die. Hoping I can get a good 7+ years from this for moderate use during the summer. If you can buy it from a store or an Amazon pick up site you can inspect the package ahead of time. This is the third of these pumps I have purchased during the past 12 years. The pump typically runs 24 Hrs a day,5-6 days a week during the summer months, and delivers enough volume to service up to 10 sprinklers at aconstant 40 lbs of pressure.My only criticism is that the manufacturer needs to improve the packaging so it can withstand shipping. This pumpwas received in a damaged condition but I was able to salvage the necessary parts off my last pump to be able toget the pump into service during the hottest month of the season.The pump is reasonably priced but it's construction is such that the bearings usually wear out over a 3-5 yearperiod depending upon the utilization. Improve the shipping box and upgrade the bearings and I would be ableto give this item a full 5 stars.

Did my homework and bought this based on price.....very easily installed in place of my broken 1.5 HP pump (this is 2 HP). Man, now my yard looks like I'm watering a golf course. Your mileage my vary but I can now run my entire yard at the same time (no need to switch zones for more pressure).....quiet and powerful...excellent value

I needed a pump with power and versatility. It sits approximately 80ft from my bulkhead and the water lever is about 3 feet below the dock. Everything is uphill from the bulkhead so I needed enough power to not only pull water into the pump but also push it up a slope. I have 12 stations on the system and each has 5 to 7 heads. Living in TX the lake levels can fluctuate fm yr to yr. We have had 2 yrs when I had to extend the input line out 120 ft to reach the water. The Simmer still had all the pwr I needed to water everything.

Box looks.like it was used for soccer practice. Bought for stock. Unsure if in working order.Must have been returned and never checked

Works great! I live on a lake and i am pulling water about75 feet from lake to pump and. I have 7 zones with 6 to 7 heads per zone and my farthest zone is about 250 feet from pump and i have fantastic water pressure.

this pump is capable of supplying the water necessary to water large areas of flower beds and lawn ,also easy to prime
