1000 Assorted Magic: The Gathering Cards Gold Collection, Model Number: B00JJXEX48

I just started playing Magic this summer, right before Final Fantasy came out. I mostly play online, but I wanted to be able to build some physical decks and play in-person with friends, too. I got the bundles for 4 sets to get some of the really cool new cards, but needed a bunch of filler cards to round out the decks. This item was ideal for that. First, it came with more than 1000 cards - they not only filled the box, they were tucked in around the cardboard separator in the center as well. (The photo is from after I took out the first hundred or so.) The cards were mostly unique -- only 101 duplicates, and only 20 were triples or more. And those weren't even all "true" duplicates. Some were printings from different sets. I got 32 rare, 245 uncommon, and the rest common. The mix of sets was nice, too. By far, the single biggest contributor was Foundations, with 120 cards. But there were 32 cards from Aetherdrift and Innistraad Remastered (2025), 107 from other 2024 releases, and 22 from late 2023 releases making up 281 standard-legal cards. The others were spread across the years, which as a new player, I found fascinating from a historical perspective. The mix of colors was pretty good, too. There were around 190 cards in each color, with green being a little light (only 145) and black being a little heavy (208). The types of cards were a good mix, also, being creature heavy (600) with a sprinkling of non-basic lands (35), the rest being instants, sorceries, enchantments, and artifacts. There was even 1 battle! None of these cards were knock-your-socks-off. In fact, the highest value card was a foil Wharf Infiltrator worth $1. But they were solid cards that are frequently seen in decks I play against online, and exactly what I needed to round out my high-value cards into playable decks. Altogether, Manabox rated the collection as worth $96, much more than the cost so a very good deal.

Wonderful value provided by this bulk box, whether you're getting into Magic for the first time, getting back into it, or looking for value by purchasing bulk cards. Obviously the monetary value fluctuates but I was very happy to see how much the cards were worth using a baseline. There wasn't many duplicates, with there being 900+ unique cards. I'll break down the box below: Total cards: 1118 Commons: 751 Uncommons: 335 Rares: 31 Mythic: 1 Foils: 27 The card composition is below: Non-basic lands: 56 Colorless: 67 Multicolor: 78 Green: 173 Red: 213 Black: 204 Blue: 160 White: 167 Altogether I'm very satisfied by the variety and quality of the cards. They were in great condition.

I am very pleased with this bulk box. It's both affordable, and worth your wile. It got here way quicker than the box from 4Knights. They guaranteed (I think) 25 foil cards, and I got 28. I didn't count all the cards in the box, but it was stuffed full, to the point where the box was bowing out. I got a very nice variety of cards from all mana types, and quite the collection of legendary creatures aswell. Sets ranged from core set 7 up to the most recent; including cards from Dr. Who, Lotr, and D&D. I was also surprised to find Sliver creature cards from almost all mana types. There were some duplicates, but I only found a max of 3 extra dupes per cards, and they were mostly full arts or alternative prints, so I'm totally cool with that As to why my rating isn't a full 5 stars, we need to go back to how full the box was. It was both a blessing and a curse. Again, I'm very happy with the amount of cards I got, but the cards at the ends of the rows took some hurt. Tho it was stuffed full, somehow in transit, a few cards shifted and got trapped between the edge of the box and the divider insert. They sadly got pretty bent because of this, and some of the other cards warped because of being pressed against the wall of the box for an extended period of time. Over all, I think this is a great bulk box choice for anyone wanting to get into the game. Aside from basic lands, I have enough variety to make multiple mono decks or split decks. Thank you, Star City Games, for making a good value product.

Basically, in short, buy one of these boxes. It's worth the money as you get a wide range of quite playable cards from various releases and with minimal duplicates. Again, in short, this is a perfect way to start or expand a collection. I'm pleased with it enough that I'm purchasing another right after posting this review. Trust me, you won't regret this lot as you would these boxes from other sellers. The box I received contained a total of 1,093 cards. The sets that these cards come from are basically every set from Mercadian Masques up through the recently released Core Set for 2019. I didn't find anything older than Mercadian Masques, which came out in 1999. If you're thinking about value, most of these cards are found for between $0.05 and $0.50 on average. There are a few cards that I received that go for a little more but nothing that sells for more than a couple dollars. Duplicates were actually quite low, having only 2 or 3 of any one particular card. The only occurrence of a particular card having more than 3 copies was with the 4 copies of the artifact destroying instant Shatter. I estimate that duplicates only made up about 15% of the box. This is excellent because nobody wants 100 copies of a wurm creature they'll never even use 1 of. Some other sellers have no problem throwing a ridiculous amount of duplicates in these lots. Here, you basically get what you need and can actually use in deck building. I did receive 3 foreign cards. Still, out of a box that contains over 1,000 random cards, I would say that's not too bad. I included a picture of them, as they're actually quite cool and might lead to me starting a collection of foreign cards. My only complaint is that I didn't receive a single white rare. Full breakdown of the cards I got is listed below- So I have purchased a few lots from different sellers, and this one is by far the best lot that I have ever purchased. I could tell right away by the reviews that this would be worth my money, but after sorting out the cards I realized this is a very worthwhile purchase for variety. The box came with exactly what it described and even a little more! Whether this was a mistake or not, I'm not sure-- but the box I received came with 36 rares in all. 7 foil and 29 non foils (no mythics). I also received over 1200 cards, which is more than the compensation cards they say that come with it. In all, I only saw a few duplicates, only two, three, four or five (rare) of a few cards. All of the cards were in amazing condition- the only sign of age I could see was slight discoloration of the older cards when looking at the edges (save one card with a bent edge). As for lands, the box came with a sealed package of 80 lands- 16 of each. (which is very useful for me, as I don't have enough lands to create many decks). Ratio of cards: The number of older cards to new was pretty good as I saw a wide range of sets. As I said before, I saw barely any duplicates so there was a ton of different cards in the box. I can use a lot of them in my current decks as many of the cards I received were actually good, useful cards. I found only 6 foreign cards in the entire box, so this did not take away from the number at all. See breakdown of cards below for better info- Now as for the shipping- Amazon said it would get to my house by January 3d- January 6th. I received it December 29th, (almost 5 days early!) so I basically got 2 day shipping without choosing it. This is very impressive to me as The shipping was all the way across the US where I've seen similar packages come in after a full week or so. Recommendation: I would recommend this lot to anyone trying to add to basically any sets of cards they have. This lot would definitely work for new players as well, considering it contains enough land to make 2 or 3 bi-colored decks. (monocolored decks would not work with 16 of each color though). I'm a 31 year old man with a beautiful wife. We both love gaming but feel kinda bad during our gaming sessions while I play PC in the back room and she plays PS in the living room. So we were constantly looking for video games, card games, board games, etc anything to be able to play together. And we live in Turkey, so you can't find any LGS around here and Magic cards are kinda scarce. So don't judge me for my belated acquaintance with Magic:) Ok then, let's cut to the chase. First of all, I knew what I was gonna get before purchasing this item. I mean, you are getting ''thousand'' cards for only couple of bucks. So I didn't have high hopes or anything like that, wasn't expecting mythics and planeswalkers falling out of the box. But this turned out to be quite an awesome starting kit for me and for my wife. Let's go over the most asked questions; -Dublicates? -Well, we found out only 5 cards with 3 dublicates and 10 cards with doubles. (this is actually good and bad at the same time but for noobs like us, it was really important to get as much different card as possible, so we can get the know the game, the lore, the history,etc) It was actually overwhelming to go through almost 800-900 cards (besides lands) but crazy fun at the same time:) -Older cards? -We got 30 40 cards from Prophecy (2000), Nemesis (2000), Invasion (2000), Legions (2003), Mirrodin (2003) and Darksteel (2004). But that's about it and the rest was between Eldritch Moon (2016) and Innistrad (2011) mostly. I mean, yeah, you ain't gonna find any M19 or Dominaria cards in this box because then it wouldn't be this cheap. You cannot make Standard decks but didn't matter to us because Modern and Legacy decks are way to play Magic:) -Rares, Mythics, Legendaries? -There were lots of rares and majority of them are useful ones, which was a huge relief because I was expecting lot more commons and ''not so good'' cards. We also got 2 mythics and 15-16 Legendaries. No Planeswalker unfortunately but I wasn't expecting any, so not a huge bummer:) -Land cards? -About 100 or so basic land cards, 20-25 something dual lands. -Packaging? -I have no idea how did they manage to fit 1000 cards into that small box:) Very robust and compact box, we are definitely gonna use it. -Any bent, twisted, heavily used cards? -No not at all. We could only find 1 single card with some writings on the back. Good luck to you too Ronnie:) whoever or wherever you are. Overall experience; Well, to be honest with you, I wasn't expecting this at all. I mean, this much variety and quality is not something you would expect from a thousand card pack with fairly low price. If you are beginner or you just want to see ''what's all the fuss about'', this is the set you buy. We are having a blast with my wife and trying to learn this amazing game in our 30s for the first time with lots of laugh, lots of joy and lots of fun rivalry:) Blue-Black Control Rules!!!

Great price for how many cards you get there’s a pretty even spread on colors as well. I see a lot of people said few duplicates that’s not my experience, I would be fine if I got 2 of the same card occasionally, but I received 4 of the same card multiple times I have at least 25 duplicates probably more in the box I received.

After picking out the rares and sorting just over half of what was left, I think this box is a really good product. That's because it has a good balance of colors, no basic lands, only one duplicate that I saw, thirty-one rares, some foils, and everything is in good shape except one card that was on the end and got folded.

A ver, yo soy nuevo en esto y para mi como nuevo es un 10/10. No vino ninguna ni rayada ni maltratada. Vinieron 154 repetidas pero como duplicado, es decir son solo como 4 cartas de las cuales venían repetidas más de una vez y el máximo fue 4, esto para mi como nuevo es "bueno" pues puedo usarlas para armar mazos de standard. Tierras solo llegaron 17 de las cuales solo una repetida y ninguna fue tierra básica por lo cual el arte y su función están increíbles. IMPORTANTE TODAS VIENEN EN INGLES TENER ESO EN CUENTA. La foto del mazo apilado son las repetidas.

Pelo valor do produto por mais de 1000 cartas eu gostei bastante. Diferente do que vi em algumas avaliações, não tem praticamente nenhuma repetida, nenhuma carta daquelas estrangeiras com escrita diferente (embora eu mesmo não me importe com isso), vem até com alguns terrenos extras dos quais eu estava precisando, cartas em perfeito estado e lindas Foils. Para quem está começando a jogar é uma ótima pedida. Claro, competitivamente é óbvio que provavelmente elas não serão tão interessantes, mas várias delas podem servir naquele seu Pauper, Commander, Etc.

ウキウキで待っていましたが結論として、開封する楽しみはほぼありません。 同じ値段でカード専門ショップのランダムパックを買ったほうがまだ価値があるでしょう。 レア以上が30枚ほど、値段としては一つ百円もいかないようなものばかり。古さとしての価値もないここ数年のものだけでした。古い世代が懐かしむこともほとんど出来ません。 久しぶりにマジックを始めようとする方、コレクションを増やそうとする方、どちらにも向かない物となっていました。他のレビューにあるような土地などもないため、頑丈なカードボックスが手に入っただけでした。 残念です。

Excellent assortment of cards from many different sets, very few repeats. The rares were of low value but still very good considering the price point. Superb product!
