Cleans my clothes better than expected
I have been using this product on my laundry since February, and I am so pleased with how it is working. Because I launder almost exclusively with cold water, I used a recipe found at the My Plastic Free Life blog to make a liquid soap (so easy - boil water, remove from heat, and steep some soap nuts overnight; strain, and store liquid in refrigerator). Other major advantages of making liquid soap: no worries about berries falling out of the laundry bag, nothing to leave marks on clothes, I will never accidentally throw the berry bag in the dryer, and no need to figure out when the berries need to be replaced. I actually like the slightly vinegar smell of my liquid soap, so I did not add any scent to it, but I do typically use a scented fabric softener and dryer sheets alongside my soap nuts concoction. What I found remarkable after the first wash was that my clothes had a neutral clean scent, they felt well-conditioned, and even my stinky running clothes (the ones that would stink even after a wash with Tide, so badly that they needed to be bleached periodically) were coming out smelling fresh. Because the berries are de-seeded, you will see in my picture that most of them have broken into half-berries. This has not been a concern for me because their sizes are pretty consistent; I can reliably count two pieces as one berry. I am also pleased with what a great value this is. My small household averages about two loads of laundry per week, so I make small batches of liquid soap every couple of weeks. There are so many soap berries in the box that I haven't even used half of them in the past four months. I am looking forward to many more months of not having to buy laundry soap. EDIT: after a few more months of using the soap nuts, and couple of opportunities to launder some exceptionally soiled rags I had used to wash my car (which may have required a few washes regardless of the soap I was using), I have decided to use a traditional laundry detergent every once in a while as a back-up. So, I'm still pleased with the soap nuts and using them most of the time, but maybe once every month or so I'll run a load using something else, and that system seems to be working well for me.

Better than laundry detergent sheets!
I loved how clean my bunny pee pads got with no urine odor and little to no stains!!! I used 6 pods for an extra large capacity machine at maximum capacity, added an extra soak and extra rinse to the heavy duty cycle with hot water. My clothing kept its color, softness and only the most stubborn of stains got by. I didn’t try adding them to the dryer cycle as well because they turned out soft enough without them. I’m putting in my second order. This beat out laundry detergent sheets which all seem to diminish fabric and color.

Softer clothes, better skin, cost-saving and environmentally friendly - a win for all!
I was skeptical of using soapberries to wash laundry, but after testing it out for a month I'm a believer! The delivery comes with a box of soapberries and a small bag, along with instructions for use. Immediately I noticed my clothes were softer out of the dryer, and my skin has improved as well -- less breakouts and irritation. The scent is subtle but I add a squirt of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap to the wash and a scoop of Nellie's laundry soda for good measure. I have accidently dried the bag of soapberries along with my clothes, which reduces how often you can reuse them, but they're still good for 5-6 more washes and it does not discolor the clothes in the dryer. I know this will save me money in the long term, is better for the environment and is a great solution for sensitive skin.

Poor quality, do not foam, smell bitter.
Bought these for washing hair and for kids’ delicate laundry. I was initially excited to see pitted dry soapnuts sold on amazon for such a low price. Soapnuts have been the best hairwash and gentle laundry wash used for generations back in India. They are typically soaked overnight and/or boiled for a few minutes. The cooled decoction is then used for hair cleansing. Typically, boiled soapnuts when rubbed on the palms, make lots of foam and smell sweet. But these haven’t worked for me. - These barely foamed and smelled bitter. - inside the amazon box, they came packaged in a ZIPLOCK!! With the sellers flyer inserted inside and a product sticker on top. - something off about their texture. They are too hard, more like pistachio kernels even after being boiled! Made me wonder if they were used before and dried again/ repackaged? Or the seller has received bad quality from the supplier. Might explain why they wont foam or smell like the real ones! ?? Overall, dissapointed and returning them. Hoping for a better quality elsewhere.

Effective for washing everyday items
Pros: natural, very light clean scent, effective at removing normal amounts of dirt/body oil Cons: may leave a washable brown mark if soapnut washing bag left wet on light colored clothes for a longer period of time, does not completely remove excessive amounts of ground in dirt/grass, does not remove stains Overall, good at cleaning normal levels of soil from normal wear. My kids get dirty from the playground and it doesn't completely remove the ground in dirt, which I'm OK with - to lessen the impact on the environment (instead of using detergents and bleach). Plus, I'm too busy (or lazy) to pretreat with a soapberry water solution. I try to remove clothes from washer once the cycle is done as I have noticed brown spots on lighter clothing when left with the wet soapberry wash bag too long. These spots are removable with another wash and some oxygen bleach. The wash bag provided fell apart after about one month. I just used an old cotton sock and tied it at the end and that seems to work just fine.

Eco-friendly "detergent" we LOVE!
I've been using these for a few weeks now and I love them. They do not leave a residue, and they make everything smell clean, but without having a scent. I'm switching to plastic-free, chemical-free, recyclable, environmentally-friendly, etc. types of household products, and this was one of my first purchases. They are very easy to use and seem to actually clean. We live in central FL, so everything seems to have a mildew smell to it, but not with this stuff! The price is less expensive than some of those eco-stores and the berries seems to be of good quality. I will definitely be buying these from now on!

NOT from the U.S; a China import--deceptive presentation.
This is NOT from Greenville, SC. It is from CHINA--as stated on the box. Even the English wording on the box is poor grammar. As for the actual product, yes, it works quite well. You should go and watch a video on You Tube to find out how to use these.

BIG fan! Unexpectedly wonderful!
I have super sensitive skin and break out all over if any clothing was washed in those so-called eco or sensitive skin labeled detergents. I have ended up in urgent care over and over. I received these on July 21, 2020 and have used it daily for two weeks. I am beyond impressed with the cleaning ability, the lack of fragrance and being able to use these two to three times. I am going to be able to replace the $55 per gallon specialty detergent that I’ve used for 20 years with these. The info states they can go into the dryer and I have done that as well although I’m not sure there’s a benefit to it. I am tolerating these so well that I have purchased them for my daughters too. I’m posting before and after photos. After three washes they are clearly breaking down and can be tossed out. And they have the added and important benefit of not being toxic to the environment. Big plus! One comment, I use a mesh lingerie bag rather than the heavy muslin one that came in the box. It seems to disperse easier.
