Monster Hooks (MH-4 Tow Hook, Titanium Black

Price was/is a negative. but it the right niche, it's a good tool.I only bought one to see if it would fit two of my trucks I use for winching stuff out of the ground..I bought this for a real tool. I have some larger 4" straps I use to strap my trucks together when pulling out stumps and larger over grown bundles of bushes that really turned to trees. It fit one of my receivers perfectly. My front receiver in one of my trucks, the end of the shank is just a tad too long and can't get the pin holes to line up (knock off one star). Hate to, but will have to take the chop saw to it.Really want a 2nd for the other truck.The large hooks makes it much easier to get the loop of the wide straps on this attachment point quick and easy. No clevis pin BS to deal with, and jamming the loop into the clevis and getting the pin/bolt past the loop.The clevis are a PIA with the bigger / wider heavier weight recovery straps, if your GVWs get you into the larger straps , 4" and larger. The smaller 2" straps for jeeps and SUVs , work fine with common clevises people have hanging off their mall crawler bumpers.So: fun for a joke if your so inclined, but it worked well for me as a real tool.Spent the weekend winching out a 75ft row of over grown, huge root ball/root plates of bushes turned trees.Kept the winch vehicle anchored into place with my 2nd truck via this hook on the back of the first, and my normal shank w/ clevis insert in the front of the anchor truck. When I need to move the winch vehicle around, and reconnect the anchor line it was quick and easy with the huge hook.The smooth round surfaces of the hook treat the loop of the strap well.NEVER USE A TOW BALL AS AN ANCHOR POINT!!!!!!! It's not made for the type of loading.Deploy the right devices and attachment points.

For real, this thing is massive, and really heavy! It not only is huge but can actually serve as slight back weight on my Hummer. :) Cheers for the size of this hook... it really is quite big. I'd suggest to everyone who buys one.. maybe also buy some thick rubber stripping to put into your 2inch hitch to prevent any rattling.. this this is so big its going to shake a bit in the hitch ! No worries, totally worth it. Worth every cent.

This hook is freaking huge. I had to sand the paint off the hooks end and minor sanding on the steel the fit to go in, was very snug on mine. I repainted with some krylon rust proof paint and wd40 inside of my hitch receiver and fit nicely and snug. Lock it up because someone will definitely want this hook.

This is a great tool for towing. Makes connecting a tow strap much easier and faster. Allows the tow strap to slide left to right and have two points of contact on the towed vehicle if needed rather than just one. Very solid piece of hardware.

I ordered the MH and it arrived in 2 days. Looks awesome on my truck, very happy with the product and seller. Highly recommended

This not only looks awesome, but is extremely durable and will tow anything out of the sand; as long as your truck will..lol
