Thule Alltrail X 35L Pack

I was heading to England for a wedding. My old Keen backpack was starting to tear and I was in need of a new one. The Thule is almost perfect. Just the right size for carry-on. I fit more into this than my old one and still had room to spare. The fit on me is very good. (6' 2" & 300 lbs) I did not use the belt strap and it was a bit of a nuisance to stow it. It has a top strap to keep the straps together which is a must for me. Not a over-pocketed like many bags. I prefer to sort things in small bags. I don't know how long it will last, but I've used Thule (rack) products for many years with few problems.

—6 months update— Did my first longer multi day stretch with this and unfortunately the comfort of the back bracing weight distribution system completely failed. Turned soft from the sweat so hook and loop was slipping or coming undone when ever I required the pack. 57pounds are the limit this guy can take. —Updated after a seasons use rucking— This bag is great. Sits in the right place and divides load well. Still haven’t used it for a multi day but have been training with it weighted ruking and it’s been the most comfortable bag I’ve used. ——- No1 gripe with all bags is comfort with the load. This bag seems to have come a long way from the other packs I’ve used because after my first day hike I take it off and my back isn’t not soar. Don’t get me wrong it still weighs you down but my experience from using other packs are the straps and weight sitting in a way that causes allot of strain. This pack found ways to mitigate that. Other than comfort the packs utility in storage, access and water proofing are the best I have seen yet. So many little reworks in zippers and netting make the pack a joy to use. Another Thule quality product. Does not disappoint.

Normally I'm a North Face guy but this 15L Thule (Thule AllTrail X 15) has become my favorite backpack for EDC. I've actually bought 2 of the X versions and one of the regular versions. The gray one I have carried for a year. If it weren't dirty you would assume it was still brand new. Note that the 15L is too skinny to carry a laptop, but it will carry a 2L Camelbak bladder perfectly well. You could also squeeze a 3L Camelbak bladder into it if it wasn't full. I was impressed enough with the X 15 that I tried out the X 25 and the X 35. Those models are just as tough and comfortable as the X 15 but there may be better options at those sizes depending on your needs. But the X 15 can't be beat for it's size. The material the X models are made of is tough but relatively heavy so they may not be ideal for true wilderness backpacking where you have to carry all of your food with you. But for urban backpacking they should be great.

Well, the backpack is from Thule - and it should answer all quality related questions. As always, all zippers, seams, materials - perfect. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because it's color. There were two color options: Obsidian (which is fancy name for dark grey or black) and Nutria (which is fancy name for mustardy yellowish color). I ordered Obsidian - 100% being sure that I will receive dark grey backpack. I was almost shocked that it came in very deep green. What? It wasn't even an option. The X version of 35l Alltrail Thule backpack are only in two colors (aforementioned) and I am getting dark green. This is very unusual in my practice of shopping Thule products (I got lots of them). In my practice of shopping in general! I will attach photos later on.

This pack is small and built for day trips. The materials are tough and high quality. It has a variety of pockets. There are two side water bottle mesh pockets. Also a small pocket on the lid and one on the right hand chest strap. And of course it has the main compartment with a laptop/water bladder pocket too. The black version of this pack is very sleek and looks stealthy like some of the military packs do. Overall this is a quality and versatile pack.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. Although the product is original and has all the material characteristics of a high quality product, the backpack is simply not the same color as the advertised photo, it looks more dark green than dark gray (see comparison between Thule aion sling and the backpack on the second photo). The shoulder bag, described as black, has the Same colour of the advertisement of the backpack (“obsidian”), wich appears green in real life.

Super versatile. One of the best things I bought in 2025 Great for a laptop, great for hiking, I even take this diving and doesn’t get dirty on the wet floor of a boat.

Rengi yeşil tonuna yakın. Bu durum üzücü çünkü kanvas dokuda çanta için kanvasın alışıldık kahverengi rengi ile reklamı yapılmasına rağmen yeşil tonunda gönderilmiş oldu. Global sitede bu konuda uyarı vardı ama ben beğendiğim için aldım ve hemen kullanmaya başladım. Bence spor değil casual giyime uygun olduğu için günlük kullanıma uygun. Small versiyonu aldım (15 litre) ve içindeki tablet gözünü hafifçe esneterek MacBook Pro 13 inch sığdırabiliyorum. Uzun ve ince görünümlü olduğunu belirtmekte fayda var. Rengi de kahverengi olsa kusursuz olurdu ama bu haliyle de favorim oldu. Bu arada fermuarlar inanılmaz pürüzsüz bir hisse sahip. Suya dayanıklı dense de tamamen geçirmez denmiyor. Bel strap'i kullanılmadığında yanlardaki kendi saklama gözlerine sokulabiliyor. Ayrıca sternum strap olması mükemmel.

I like the backpack very much, usable, stylish and the quality is unexpected good.

Il colore dello zaino è un VERDE SCURO anziché un GRIGIO ANTRACITE. Purtroppo la foto inganna lo sguardo. È il primo zaino Thule che acquisto…e credo sarà anche l’ultimo! Meglio acquistare da brand che gli zaini li sanno fare e proporre
