Q: How high does gel pack go on ankle/leg? Once frozen, is pack "squishy" to distribute gel or is the pack hard so gel can't be moved until it warms up?

Ankle high. Gel pack softens as you were it. It stays cold for a good bit of time. It covers the bottom and sides of foot mostly. No gel pack on top. I like it a lot because it really fits the foot and the velcro is easy to tighten or loosen. Sometimes I put another individual gel pack on top of foot before I fasten velcro.

Q: I was told to use heat for peroneal tendonitis. How long does it stay hot?

Sorry, this one is for heat or cold. I thought it was a different one. I'm sure it will stay warm for maybe a 1/2 hour or so.

Q: Do you only keep the ice pack in the for only 2-4hrs like the directions says or can you keep it in the freezer for as long as you want??

I kept it in there when I was not using all the time until I no longer needed one mine came with 2 do I had one on my ankle while out her was in freezer .. this was worth the purchase
