They arrived in a timely manner. They were packed very well in two nested cardboard boxes, each hook individually bubble-wrapped and wrapped in heavy paper, with hardware (4 bolts and 8 washers) individually packaged. No damage to powder coating. The instructions start with removing factory tow hooks. They have a completely different design which would appear to allow them to collapse in a collision, probably to avoid damaging the frame. When it gets to the point your installing the new ones, the instructions are useless. It’s pretty much 10 steps on uninstalling the factory ones and the 11th step is “Tah-dah! Here is a picture of the new ones installed. Fortunately the install is very strait forward and it’s easy to figure out. (The open side of the hooks orient toward the center of the vehicle. The hooks bend downward from the frame. The recessed bolt/washer holes face downward. I tested my bolts without the hooks first. The two front threaded holes in the frame were fine. The the two toward the back had some rust in them. I shot them all with PB Blaster and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then I ran all the bolts in a little past half way to clean up the threads a bit and make for an easier install. The hooks are heavy. You definitely won’t want to drop one on your face. If you’re working alone it’s a little awkward to hold them in place and get your first bolt started. You might put a moving blanket or pad down so if you do drop one you aren’t going to chip away the coating. I installed them in my driveway without a jack. I can’t remember the socket size but I put an extension on my socket and placed the bolt and washers in the socket. I lined up the hook with one hand and started the bolt by holding the end of the socket extension with the other hand. A headlamp is a must. The bolts all started WAY easier than I expected. I was able to pull the socket/extension off the bolt, put it on my ratchet and snug it up. Get both bolts snug but loose enough you can make adjustments. There is some wiggle room and you want to make sure the hooks are even (or at least I did because I’m borderline OCD). I found that eyeballing the part of the hook that bolts to the frame and the frame (while lying in the ground looking up) to make sure they were parallel to one another, produced perfectly acceptable results. When I had them were I wanted them I cranked down the bolts while watching to make sure the hooks didn’t move out of position. I know I’ve probably made this sound complicated, but it really isn’t. I just wanted to give people a realistic idea of what they’re in for. You got this! Also use a wax or detailing product with UV protection after you wash the vehicle to keep the power coat protected. Powder coats can fad/get chalky pretty quick if your not prepared to do something to protect it from oxidation.

I bought these RC tow hooks for my Grand Cherokee 2018 and took off the bumper for installation, only to find out the installation hardware was missing. The hooks themselves are great, but honestly, I could do nothing without the hardware. Amazon ended up refunding the order instead of sending the hardware, so now I'm stuck with these.Overall quality is great these feel very sturdy and as good as the OEM ones.

Cost effective option for the grand Cherokee. Easy to install with all the needed hardware.

Finally got around to removing the front bumper of my 2018 Grand Cherokee and installed these. The OEM tow hooks require more hardware. These are just two bolts per hook. My hooks arrived in perfect condition. I wonder about how well the paint will hold up to sunlight and weather, but I’ll just repaint and use UV coating if I have to. Some lower grills have removable tow hook covers. Mine were not removable so I bought the lower grill with cutouts for <$50. You may need lower grill clips to replace broken ones while removing the lower grill.

These look great and install was easy. I went from Factory Chrome hooks to these. Much cheaper option than $500 for Mopar factory red hooks. Was disappointed they're wrapped in thin bubble wrap and one corner the powder coat rubbed through, was on bottom side so a little touch up will be fine.
