I was in two minds as to whether to purcahse this alarm clock because of the cost. However, I'm glad I did. It's a very dinky alarm clock. Ideal for travelling, but I also use it for my bedside alarm clock. The build quality is ogood and justifies the price. Despite it's small size the alarm gradually increases to a point where it is plently loud enough to wake me. I am short sighted, but the display is plently large enough for me to see the time at night without my glasses. I especially like the soft touch sensor on the top of the clock to light up the display, and stop the alarm to put it into 5min snooze mode. Setting the time, alarm time, 12/24 hour display setting is also straight forward. I can honsestly say this is by far the best alarm clock I've bought for both travel and as an everyday bedside clock.

Firstly: it's tiny. Somehow smaller than I was expecting. The face is good, and the digits clear, but only for the 10 seconds that it lights up: then it becomes almost impossible to see the time. So it's perfect if you want a travel clock that isn't bright all the time. But if you want to know the time from the other side of the room, you're out of luck.

This alarm clock is dead easy to use. The user interface is clear, intuitive, and quick. The alarm is loud enough to wake 90% of people up, but quiet enough for hotels. The display is dark until you tap it - this could be a pro or a con, depending on what you like. It's very small and light, so it's easy to sling in a bag.

Love this clock, does not blind you at night. Very small but is loud enough to wake you. Easy to set, easy to turn off alarm, easy to snooze.

Good clock and I decided to keep it but be warned you will struggle to see the number in day light which to some may defeat its purpose. I use as it as an additional morning alarm and to check the time at night by tapping it. Quality is good but this could have been perfect.

Brain make the best bedroom and travel clock, period! Growing up I had an old Braun analogue bedside alarm clock, which is a model they still make today, mine was back in the 80’s! I’ve had two similar modes to these for years in the bedroom for my wife and I. They never miss a beat and are super simple to use, to set and to take on holiday also! This one is for my son as he has now grown out of his Lego Emit one! Super clean, simple and timeless design, as with nearly all Braun clocks. This will last for years, of that I know! Great compact size for a small shelf (my son has a cabin bed so there’s no bedside table) and this will also be great for our annual trip to Ireland to see grandad! My son needs a more reliable alarm clock now that he’s getting older and is up earlier a few days a week, this will be perfect! Easy to set, and clear and simple readout and design. Highly recommend.

This is a design dream. It is sleek and beautiful. Very clever minimal actions, functions and lines. HOWEVER - as a clock it is lacking a basic function. You can't see the time in daylight! It is great in the night as you only need to brush the top for it to light up. But the lighting up is hardly visible in daylight and only lasts seconds, and the screen is mostly dark. I would expect any clock to be visible in the daytime also. So a nighttime dream, but a daytime nightmare. I still love it because it is a tiny beautiful thing.

Perfect little travel alarm - no more faffing about with your phone or tablet just to find out the time! Compact, simple to use and reliable. Just touch it and it lights up with a good-sized display.

Although this clock is relatively expensive, it is worth it. I wanted an LCD clock with a light so there was no noise or permanently lit display (like an LED display) and there are a few that are slightly cheaper but an ergonomic mess. This clock is simple, well made, easy to use and the display is fantastically clear and beautifully wrought. In addition, the alarm sound is well set up, starting from a very quiet level, gradually getting louder until it wakes you. The ONLY small negative is that the display light stays on slightly too long; 10 seconds. But then, the light is switched by a capacitive panel that requires the lightest of touches. Nice. So the light timer is not enough to negate the excellence of the design. Recommended.

Font is great, easy enough to read the font but the backlight that comes on isn't as bright as I had hoped. If you're looking at the clock from above it's harder to read even with the light on than say if you're reading the clock on the same plane or from angling up. Alarm clock is loud as well. The unit itself is pretty light but doesn't feel cheap.

Gefällt mir, ist schön klein und die Lautstärke ist für Mich i. O. Kann mir aber schon vorstellen dass er nicht für jeden laut genug ist. Der Wecker zeigt (im Dunklen) die Uhrzeit nur an wenn man mit der Hand oben drauf tippt, es stört also keine Beleuchtung. Im hellen kann man das Display ablesen. Für mich ist das so ok, würde ihn wieder kaufen
