For $14 (or anywhere less than $30 at time of your purchase) great value
Sturdy purchase on a desktop and precise articulation in the arms to secure an item in air where one may need them. The only caveat is that the clips are seated by pressure into the end of the arms; on occasion, the clips may slip but that is typically user error.

Reasonable product, but not very stable
Need to finesse a little to get it exactly where you want it to hold.

Excellent craftsmanship!
These helping hands are really worth the money and they are well made. They also come with extra hardware for the alligator clips.. Very nice setup.✌️🇺🇲✈️

Wanted to like but difficult
I wanted to like this helping hands but the way you clamp to a table is just bad, you have the 3rd arm sticking out at you. that is if you permanently mount it using the holes on the mount it will be turned the right way. I’ve found that by clamping it with some normal spring clasp clamps it works like a charm. But I still have to ding it for bad design. And it’s sad that they haven’t redesigned it and keep selling the same mount with different attachments.

Good Value
holds thing pretty well while i’m painting a soldering. the clamp acts a little weird and slips off sometimes but it’s not a problem while i’m using it, just while putting it on.

yep, Solid and Sturdy
I got this for a single job, but I can't believe I haven't owned one already. I have used the old Cast and Metal helper hands since I was a kid (50yrs ago!) a cheapo set that was always loose, but usually got me through. I eagerly await seeing if and when the arms start loosening up and don't hold as tight. For now, it is Great and well worth the few bucks it cost.

Clamp isn’t the best
The screw down base is my only gripe. There is dense foam on the underside of the base. When you tighten it down, the entire unit might tilt to the side vs going straight down.Beyond that, it works as intended. The little gator clips hold well. The clips can spin, but also att in place. The arms are versatile and overall this is leaps better than the standard 3rd hand everyone gets in school.

Inexpensive, sturdy, compact, and worth every penny.
I bought a lot of electronics/robotics stuff at once & took a chance on some budget options, and this one worked out great. For the price I got exactly what I was expecting. "you get what you pay for", but in this case what you think you're paying for is exactly what you get (it clamps, it holds firmly, its arms are flexible - nothing broke after bending and positioning the arms around, the clamps have rubber on the metal gripper to protect whatever you're gripping... For me, living in an apt with just a 2nd bedroom as my office, garage, and music studio, I value compact things that do what I need them to do. This does that.

Very useful.
The media could not be loaded. Great for those little jobs where you need extra hands. The mobility is very good. It is easy to attach to a table or work place. Don't know how i managed without it! Oh and the extra claws are a bonus
