Wright & McGill Skeet Reese Right Hand 701 Retrieve Victory Bait Cast Reel (Yellow)

This is the best reel I own. This may not be saying much to a seasoned bass fisherman who will dish out hundreds for gear but I have been going at it for under a year and have been using baitcasting reels for even less time and this just works. I have multiple combos and this reels gives the least backlash and good smooth casting with good distance. Of course there are always other variables but the combination that has made this my favorite to use is pairing 12lb seagar flourocarbon with a skeet reese crankbait glass rod (7ft). While the rod is designed for crankbaits, it is just as smooth with jerks. Skeet has even mentioned this in his videos. I wouldn't suggest this set up for an "all around combo" but for cranks its great.

thay are so easy to operate.back lash does not mean any thing to me.if really want no back lash.get brake set right.my thumb set on the spoll at all times.this a top of the line bait caster.it is nice to say.by the best for way less.mam i feel good about these to reels i got of skeet reese.and to of his rods.i have alot of rod and reels.there all for back up now.and amazon got it all.great

Nothing really impressive, perhaps not for those used to top of the range reels, but adequate, and a good buy at the sale price. I do mostly vertical jigging, but it seems to cast allright too

Just got the reel. Everything seems pretty smooth on it. Casts very well and speedy retrieval aswell. Only downer I have to this is that it did not come with any type of papers or any booklet on the reel.

The reel had issues right out of the box. I have fished with these reels for 3 years with very few problems but this reel did not work from the beginning. Overall these are good reels but this one was a dud.

Great reel for the price. Can't go wrong. I've used numerous baitcasting reels, but I must say I love how lightweight, not bulky and how smooth it is.

Awesome, smooth, fits my small hand. Just doesn't come with "fish catching" guarantee - lol
