Super easy to install
Very impressed with these tire chains. We had an ice storm roll through the Western Washington. All the roads were covered in ice. It was like an inch thick. No one could drive on the roads unless they were chained up. I strapped these onto my custom wheels/tires in no time and drove on the ice with no issues.

One time use, sparks and plastic pieces will fly
we were stuck on a snowy road behind a car that was beached. i put on these “chains” on the back and front. most studs fell off almost within the first 1 min of trying break free. eventually rolled behind and was able to get to an area with less snow. got traction and was able to move. these “chains” didn’t last more than one event. lucky not to run into snow on my way back. not buying them again but will invest in chains which are pricey. this isn’t an easy replacement for tire chains

Good in a Pinch
This a good concept, and much easier to install than chains. But one strap was broken right out of the box, and another one broke while being used. Good to have in an emergency, but I think of these things as disposable.

Buyer Beware.
The easiest way to put it is; do your research and spend a little more money to get chains that'll be useful. I tried these because I wanted something cheap that I'd most likely never use again and literally half of these fell off during maybe a 20 minute trip through an icy mountain. On top of that when they pulled us over to do a chain inspection in we were told, that use of these instead of actual chains is illegal. They get a 2 star because as a one use thing; they worked but anything after that becomes a torn up plastic and faulty design thing that's destined to be thrown out.

just used once, the nails fell off, the plastic broke in some pieces.
It's a little bit complicated to put on if you are in a place with little space to move your arms behind the wheel to put the stripe in the rim, if you have big hands, and a rim with little space you will know what I mean. Then, to remove, you gonna have another issue, in not easy to remove without a hammer in order to release the stripe. My driveway is long, about 100ft and a little steep, with gravel and snow. my minivan skid a bunch of times, but we managed to get up. However not sure if this will work more than twice.

good for emergencies
Bought these for my 2009 Honda Accord LX and they were easy to install and remove when I had to drive through snow and ice for a short period of time. Just don’t drive faster than 30-40 mph when having these on and they won’t break off. They tightened themselves during the ride as well and stayed on the whole time.

Broke off and damaged my car.
California Chain Control insisted I install these on a non-snow covered section of road, a few miles prior to a mountain pass. Driving with these on up the pass incline, I had to drive at a faster speed than recommended. Unfortunately, they began to break off and damage the front of my car (paint around wheel wells). By the top of the pass, most had been broken off, so in addition to the damage I had no real protection from the ice patch they had been installed to protect us from. These would probably be fine on a snow-covered road at a very slow speed, but that is not the driving conditions one faces in the Sierra Nevada mountains around Lake Tahoe.

Good
Worked well in my car when I needed, I was in squaw valley in February for a few days doing skiing and it was snowing a lot so I’m glad I bought online before went there.

Not very useful. Great idea but needs improvement
Disappointed in your product. Just used them on my van & the type of rims on it, wore and cut the straps in just one use. Sent pictures to show. Is this something others have complained about? A design flaw? Not all rims have a rounded edge. Also a few of the studs came out as well. Wouldn’t recommend!
