I would have liked the computer sent back so I could transfer the data to the new one I am buying.
They kept me informed as to their progress. I greatly appreciated that.

Sent me full credit to replace my laptop
My laptop broke and was not repairable. Asked to take it to a local pc repair store instead of sending it in. They wrote it up and uploaded a scanned copy of the diagnostic. 2 days later I had the full amount sent to me as an Amazon credit. No questions asked. Will buy again forsure.

They came through, quickly
An Asus gaming laptop died. Totally dead. Obviously a motherboard failure. I sent it in and they refunded the the $1180.00 purchase price just a few days later.

They attempted repair, and when not able to complete it, they refunded our full purchase price.
For big ticket electronic items, I always buy breakage insurance. Even though it costs more, in our case, it saved us our $1200 purchase price. We received an amazon gift card for our full purchase price when asurion wasn't able to complete our repair. (They stayed in good contact throughout the process and gave us a choice to wait out a back-ordered part of receive a refund.) We decided on the refund and had an amazon gift card almost immediately. For expensive purchases, I highly recommend this company. It gives you great piece of mind.

Lousy service structure, but did pay for new laptop
I sent back a laptop with camera that wasn't working. They replaced the touchpad, and swapped the camera with another camera that (and I know this seems impossible) worked even less. Then sent the laptop on back to me 7 days later. When it arrived, it was missing the thinkpad pointer and had a hair jammed under a key in the keyboard. That, plus the reason I sent it in was not addressed.I spoke to a rep who tried to charge me $29 AGAIN for sending the unit back in. After settling that argument, the same rep said they'd email me a shipping label (I didn't need a box - I had one right there from the first return). Never got a label, despite calling again hours later. They sent a box, which meant waiting another few days for the box to arrive. Sent the laptop off again, and this time they totalled it, which I was not expecting at all. So they sent me a check, and I bought a new laptop. It could have been worse, but they did pay me my original cost.I'm tempted to give them a 3 because they did eventually pay, but the painful process made me hate the brand and I won't buy a new plan for my new laptop. I was without my main work laptop for 2 full weeks. So 2 stars. YMMV

underwhelmed
I bought the warranty so that if anything happened, I would not need to worry about getting it fixed for my son. I was very frustrated when the time came to use it. But after two days of frustration, here are the facts: I'm used to computer insurance that recognizes that we need it fixed right away. First, they will want to charge you a $30 fee just to get your warranty going. I was having none of that. Then, they will slow ship you a package to put the computer in, which is 5 business days, according to them. Then I have no idea how fast it will get back to them. Another 5 business days? How long will it take them to fix? I have no idea. They have very nice customer service people. But they seemed to have lost what their business is all about. It's about their customer experience, getting something important fixed. They seem to be all about what saves them money, which compromises the product. That's just my opinion. so if you use these guys, just know what you are getting into, so you have the right expectations. In the end, I can fix it myself for $140. That's about what I paid so far in insurance. The difference is that I get the new drive in two days, and can put it in, in about 5 minutes. And if you are going to charge people $30 just to get a claim going, make sure that is clear when you are selling it to them.
