ThermwellRV/DAT39 36" Repl Thres Vinyl

Was easy to install and works. I ended up buying an extra for my other door.

The product came rolled and when straighten it was showing a big arc as shown on attached picture. Per instructions I placed it in hot water and it straighten somewhat but still remains not completely straight.

The item itself seems fine but it was supposed to be able to replace the vinyl insert in a door threshold under the back door of a condo I own and does not. The two sides that fit under the metal threshold are somewhat different and do not stay in place.

Not sure if I got the wrong part (It's amazing that Frost King doesn't show the actual vinyl item and its shape anywhere). This appears to be the same piece I was replacing, but much thinner/ flimsier with almost non-existent phlanges. If this is meant to actually fit into a threshold and form a horseshoe shape, there is almost no phlange ends for it to grip...Pictured next to the original - you can see the difference in size, width, and end length

These things last me about 6 months at a time before they split or come off. I usually buy a few at once.

This replacement gasket is very difficult to install, requiring flat screwdriver and many, many pushes to get small gasket flange inserted into slots of aluminum threshold. It is not a duplicate of the original vinyl gasket, but it is the recommended replacement gasket. Also, installed gasket did not seal against bottom of door, and even though threshold had adjustable height feature I was not about to remove gasket to adjust height (and have to go through difficult gasket reinstallation again). I bought a couple of door bottom sweeps at Home Depot to deal with the bad seal. Final gasket installation actually looks okay, but it's really a poor result.

I paid a lot for a nice Frost King threshold at Home Depot. They still sell them, but when my gasket died, do you think they had a replacement? This little devils were hard to find, but I found them here for a reasonable price and quick delivery. Thanks!
