Tilley Classic T3, Olive, 7 3/8

Great hat

Why, oh why, didn't I buy a Tilley sooner?! Quite simply, this is the best hat I have ever owned. For years I'd read the hype, saw the price, and then passed. Why spend so much on a hat, I thought? Now I know why. This thing is built rock solid, is comfortable enough to wear all day, and - at least I think - looks darn stylish. I know that some people have said that the cotton Tilley's are hot to wear in the sun. I haven't found this to be the case. It's been a pretty brutal summer here, compared to our usual weather. Temps in the 90s, with extremely high humidity. I haven't found the Tilley T3 to be any more hot to wear than a regular baseball cap. In fact, I think my head is a bit cooler than with a baseball cap, perhaps because if there is a slight breeze it blows under the brim and flows around the side of my head. It might just be my perception, but it feels cooler to me.The brim width is perfect - not too wide to look goofy but not too narrow to be ineffective at keeping the sun off your face and out of your eyes. I wasn't sure about the neck strap at first, but it is surprisingly effective even when just worn behind the back of your head. I haven't had the hat come off even in a pretty good breeze.I found the fit to be spot-on according to Tilley's sizing chart. I measured the circumference of my head as they instruct (with space for two fingers), and then converted it to the proper size according to the chart. Perfect fit.My only complaint about my T3 is that it looks too new :) I'm looking forward to using this hat for many, many years, and having it develop a nice "patina" from my adventures.

I have had several Tilley hats and this was just a replacement for one that has been with me for years. I would always recommend this hat to anyone I know. They are made with specific sizes so you need to be sure and follow their sizing chart and measurement instructions. If you do what they tell you your hat will fit great. The brim is between 2 and 3 inches with good rigidity and can be snapped up on the sides in case you need it out of the way for some activities. Has an adjustable back strap/chin strap cord that helps hold it on during windy weather or when you're off roading with the top off the Jeep. The only thing I miss is the brag tags that used to come with the hat. Not sure if the seller forgot to put them back or if the manufacturer doesn't do that any longer. They were a fun addition but it does not effect the function of the hat.

I have extensively worn the same Tilley T3 Endurable Hat for more than 17 years, in all kinds of weather conditions. It is an extremely durable and comfortable hat. I wear glasses and I love the way it keeps the rain off of my glasses, even in heavy downpours. The wide brim also sheds water and protects against the sun. Just recently did it finally get a hole in it as to wear out. So I contacted Tilley with the Guaranteed For Life promise. I followed the instructions provided by Tilley for the replacement guarantee, and Tilley is now sending me a new hat - All I had to do is pay the shipping costs. Tilley customer service was very responsive to my questions. I just bought a new Tilley T3 and highly recommend this hat. Now I have two, which will be put to good use.

I'm not going to write what I like about it or I dislike about it I'm just going to Simply say I have wore nothing but Tilley hats for 30 years.

My favorite hat might not mean much to you but to a bald guy, that phrase takes on new and more meaning. I will be ordering this hat again in other colors. thank for the amazing hat!

I purchased my second Tilley Traditional Canvas hat after years and years of trying to wear out my first one. It just won't happen. The purchase was made only because I wanted a change in color after all those years. The Tilly is truly one of those classic, iconic products that a person simply loves to own because of its durability, unsurpassed quality and ability to satisfy. Cars should be this good! Joe K

My husband's second Tilley hat...lost his first one. They wear well, are comfortable, stay on in high winds and washable...do not put in dryer, air dry. Especially nice when fly fishing as one side can snap up and cannot interfere with casting.
