Good Fixed Pitch Beginner Helicopter
This is a terrific first beginner outdoor helicopter. I bought the Bind N' Fly version so I am using my own Spektrum DX9 transmitter. Programming the model into the transmitter was a snap given the excellent paper manual included. I am not an expert helicopter flier by any means but I am an expert at radio controlled airplanes so I have an advantage in that my stick movements are instinctual. I have only hovered inside the house as it is too big for a small room so this review is about flying outdoors. I have flown it in 10mph winds but all you can do is keep it in a hover with the stick almost in full forward position. In 4 to 6 mph winds it flies pretty good. I have not crashed it so I can't comment on durability but it seems pretty stout. This is Fixed Pitch and not a Collective Pitch helicopter so other than pirouettes you won't be doing any tricks. Parts availability seems pretty good. There are several full flights on my Youtube channel RobisonRacing68. I've had fun with it!

Great beginner helicopter
Fun helicopter to start with. Not made for indoors. Is pretty light so the wind does affect the outcome. You should definitely get a simulator this will help make your experience more enjoyable and be less expensive.

Poor quality everywhere
When I open the box it looked like someone had stepped on the helicopter it was literally in pieces. This seems to be the norm with a lot of hobby products throughout the industry lately. I sent it back to horizon I don't care what they do with it but I'm done no more RC hobby for me.

Saves on damages to the big ones.
‘Good trainer and keeps the high-dollar models safe on the ground. It drops a little for the last few inches on landing. Maybe some transmitter programming to soften collective pitch near hover rpm would do it. Otherwise it flies great. It flies almost like a bigger helicopter but lighter. Not for a windy day. Easier to fly than my simulator.

Great First Hobby-Grade Helicopter to Learn on
Whether you’ve been playing around with toy helicopters and are looking to move into something more serious or this is your first hobby-grade helicopter, the Blade 120 s2 is a great option! This was my very first fixed pitch helicopter and found it to be a great platform to learn on. Right out of the box I found that it flew pretty well, but would definitely recommend adjusting the servo linkages to fix any drift issues. Although if you’re new to flying helicopters, keep in mind that a leftward drift is totally normal while it’s close to ground. So base any adjustments on how it flys a good 5+ feet off of the ground. Overall, my only complaint is that it’s a bit underpowered and this is especially true of you live at altitude like me (Colorado). Expect about 5 min of flying time per charge and I highly recommend getting 3-4 additional LIPO batteries in order allow for more back to back flying experiences as this facilitate learning much better then waiting hours in between flying.

High quality. Stable flier.
Flies great and is very stable. Great for beginners and replacement parts are inexpensive but, I have not needed any in a dozen flights. Flies great indoors or outdoors in light winds.

A lot of repairing
I am new to RC helicopters so I am not experienced but I did have the lower model S70. Used it for a summer and it worked the whole summer with no broken parts. I have already had to order 3 new parts three separate packages. Parts are not overly expensive 4-6.00 but if you have to order 2 parts plus shipping 4.00 and tax1.00 it can go 16-20.00 every time you have to order something. Again, I never had to order anything for the S70. Having said that I am learning this helicopter. With the S70 I just started it up. With this one I have to start slow and build up to lift off or it will go sideways and crash and cost me another 20.00. However as I learn it I am enjoying flying it. I like the helicopter........just seems a little fragile to me.

Love it. No regrets.
This is a fantastic little Heli for a beginner like me to learn the basics of Heli flying. It has the power to take on light wind, and the toughness to help me learn nose-in flying, hovering, turning, etc. I spent a fair amount of time in realflight before buying this, and this Heli has made the transition to the real thing a breeze. Love it. No regrets.
