First time using these, but it works great! Being individually wrapped is the best. That way you consume one tab for a meal. Makes it easy to figure out much to take along. They take a bit of direct flame to get going, but once lit they burn perfectly. As a test I used one (using the small collapsible stove I bought here) and put a full tea kettle on it. The tab was consumed, but it brought all that water to a roiling boil.

Looks good and came early although Amazons driver delivered it after work and left it on the ground outside in an industrial park. he then claimed to have given it to a receptionist which is a lie and i was here to watch the delivery and have video. anyway cheers to Esbit these are very cool and just what I wanted for longer cook times. Jeers to Amazon who hires some liars that will throw it pout a window and call it delivered. Peace.

I've had Esbit stoves for decades, and have always liked using them. This Esbit fuel works as it should and is compact (it can be stored in the stove) and rather lightweight for camping/backpacking. However, it does smell badly, like rotten smoked fish, even through its wrapping. So I suggest if you get it, wrap it in a resealable bag and then put it all into a resealable container. And then store it somewhere that won't stink up your house. Made in Germany, is hexamine. (My new favorite/go-to solid fuel is BCB Adventure Fire Dragon...it doesn't smell and is cleaner burning/safer to use and store.)

I tried the 14g tablets. They would not boil a cup of water. Almost, but not quite. These larger tablets bring a cup and a half to a rolling boil in a few minutes and keep the boil till almost out. Awesome stuff. I bought more of these. These make those small folding metal stoves actually worthwhile.

No mess no odors. Light easily and burn 10+ minutes. Burns very hot. Very lightweight. Excellent product from Germany. Use for boiling water or for cooking.

Used to boil 3 cups of water in Stanley cookset along with half of a 14gram tablet took 20 minutes witch is totally fine.I used the esbit folding pocket stove with a home made angeled wind screen for the test.

No issues here - plain and simple. Leaves residue on cookware, but nothing a little scrubbing can’t handle. Burns long - great companion to any of Esbit’s other cookwares.

These thing are great, they light easy and they're easy to pack away for a camping trip or whatever, they snap easy too, but I like that, makes it easier to start larger fires imo (I have a fireplace)
