The drive itself works. I am using this drive to replace the floppy drive in my Yamaha keyboard. The problem is that they sent a CRAP driver CD that didn't work, the CD was corrupted and not burned right. Also it is a small CD that won't work in slot drive laptops, you need a desktop tray to use it. Worse of all it is VERY difficult to find a driver to use this. There is just ONE available on a particular website (that makes a different brand of drive) if you do some research up on Google. The driver version is archaic but play around with it, ultimately it WILL work. I really wish I could use the driver on Mac OSX. Windows only and I doubt that will ever change. Nobody cares to further this technology.

It does a great job. One 2 gig usb drives holds 100 1.44 floppies. It only gets 4 stars because you need to format the USB 2 gig a special way and it WAS NOT included. You have to hunt it down. No instructions or even a link to the software came with the drive.

If you have an old device that use floppy disks, this is the way to go.The UI is cumbersome, since you just have few digits and 2 buttons, but you can mod it with a different LCD to get also the file name, and that is just a matter of swap LCD screen (no soldering needed).IF you want to use it with an Amiga computer, you need to solder a header on the board and flash it; but even in that case, you get access to any floppy software available for that machine in that way, and do not have to worry about floppy loosing their magnetic field after 30+ years of usage.

This is the correct model of GOTEK USB floppy drive emulator if you want to flash it to support your Amiga computer. Make sure to pick up an FTDI cable if you intend to flash the drive and have a handy some extra pin headers and jumpers so you can solder them to the PCB to support the flash. Overall, flashing this drive to support Amiga ADF's was very easy.

Ich benutze das Laufwerk als Ersatz für das alte Amiga Laufwerk. Es funktioniert echt super!Ich habe das Laufwerk unter Ubuntu geflasht, weil Windows 10 nicht funktioniert hat. Um das zu erreichen musste ich noch spezielle Kontakte auf die Platine löten. Die Anleitung dazu findet man im Internet.

Bin bei der Suche nach ein Ersatzlaufwerk für mein Amiga auf den "Gotek" gestoßen.Habe sofort 2 Stück bestellt.Lieferung erfolgte schnell (ca, 9 Tage)Emulatoren nach einer Anleitung aus dem Internet mit Firmware geflasht und eingebaut.([...])Beide sehr gut verarbeitet und funktionieren einwandfrei.Wenn ich z.b. "Lemmings" starte, fühle ich mich zurückversetzt in die 90er.Ein großen Dank an den Entwickler und den Autor des Amiga Floppy Emulator Projekts.

Das Gotek verhilft meinem A500+ zu neuer grösse. Das flasjen der cortex firmware war doch nicht so eibfach wie man erst dachte. Aber i muss sagen, es ist jeden cent wert. Ich betreibe es als df1: was super ist. Und der oberknaller ist, mit dem gotek und einem xcopy adf, kann ich alle games und programme zurücl auf eine 3,5" floppy disk zurück kopieren

Mit einem PL2303 Adapter, Windows XP 32bit und diesem Floppy Emulator konnte ich meinen Amiga wieder richtig Fit machen. Eigentlich benötige ich nun kein WHDLoad mehr. Funktioniert einwandfrei mit passender Firmware.

wir setzen den Floppy-Emulator als Ersatz in einer Produktionsmaschine ein. Das Gerät ließ sich problemlos anschließen und versieht seinen Dienst genauso wie ein herkömmliches Floppy-Laufwerk.
