These can drop some serious bass it’s all about how you power and process these subwoofers. They are pretty compact compared to other dual 18” cabinets and easy to move around on some good 4” casters. We keep these in our inventory double stacked on wheel dolly’s but easily move them up truck ramps and thru doorways. When using these in small to medium sized clubs 2-3 stacked on a wheel cart will normally give you everything you need for low end extension. Depending on what kind of music you’re doing you may be able to get away using less subs but we work with bass heavy live bands and DJs that’s trying to beat up the block with bass so we come ready. •2 man lift but their not that heavy at all. • They work good for Kick drum punch , 808s and low end extension. •When this subwoofer is double stacked it’s the perfect height and foundation for front of the house speakers. •The coupling effect from have these double or triple stacked is the real deal. •We use these for sound production on live bands with no issues. •We have used these vertically and horizontally successfully. •You need at least 2 of these to keep up with RCF Sub 8006. •For the Price, Performance and Weight there really isn’t a lot of competition and we do own higher end gear.

This is a great subwoofer for a big space or outdoor venue. It is very big, but does a much better job than smaller subwoofers I've used. The sound quality is really good. Everything sounds clear and crisp. The box quality made. It is strong and assembled without flaws. It should withstand a lot of wear and tear from being transported if it travels around a lot. JBL has always made good speakers in my experience and this one seems top of the line too.

Amazing difference. I had no idea of the old sub's inadequacies until this one was powered up. Required nothing special, uses regular 110 volt electric with three prong plug. Should work with any standard PA. This rocks and is worth every penny. If I could change anything, it would have been to have casters included, but they were easy to order online after the fact. Highly recommend.

How is that even called a subwoofer? Frequency Response: 47Hz – 120Hz??

My son is in a band that plays in venues around his city, so we thought that this might be of help to them. What we didn't realize when we picked this is that it is not easily portable as it is huge and heavy. If you have a place where you can permanently install it or you travel with your own roadies this shouldn't be a problem, but to move it from his home to his current venue is a big task. Otherwise he likes it very much.

The first thing you need to realize about this subwoofer is that it is massive. It's a two-person carry or a three-person mount. We are using it in a large room to augment two very large speakers and the sound this produces makes it seem like an entirely new system. It fils the room with rich bass sounds that in no way sound muddy or muffled. It can also really shake a room. It turns your chest into a speaker as you can feel it rumble with the really deep notes. We are really impressed with this dual speaker.

This subwoofer is huge! Great for bigger venues, especially when permanently installed. It is quite heavy, so maybe not the best for a mobile DJ setup if you're working solo and not very strong. The amount of bass it puts out is quite impressive, and the sound quality is top notch.

This sub was MUCH larger than we were expecting. It's actually the same size as the credenza in our living room. You need two people to carry it, and more to mount it. Obviously designed to be used by a DJ or small band, we have it in our home theater, much to our kids' delight (and probably our neighbors' chagrin). We've been impressed with the power and durability of the design. JBL is a good brand, and this pro sub is no exception.
