Great Mesh Router that covers dead spots in the house and no drop outs
UPDATE: so changed from Virgin to BT fibre 900. I can confirm that you do not need to use the BT Hub, just need to put in the generic username and password for access to BT. Can confirm speeds are handled at 900mb download and 110mb uploaded. Only had issues once with speeds but that was during the extreme heat in August not sure if the overhead cable was affected. Rebooted the actual BT ONT box and speeds were back to normal. The seamless transition between moving in the house works well. It shows you if there have been any attempted attacks which are blocked (only my son's devices 🤦) If any new device is added and I am not home I get notifications whether I am on a different wi-fi network or using the phone data network. NOTE: I HAVE ONLY GIVEN TECH SUPPORT ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAVE NOT HAD THE NEED TO USE IT. SO THAT SHOULD REALLY BE NEUTRAL. I CAN'T GIVE IT ANY MORE STARS AS I HAVE NOT USED IT SO CAN'T SAY HOW WELL THEIR TECH SUPPORT IS. I was sceptible at first as it has only one additional Lan port but having read many reviews, watching youtube videos I decided to go for the TP Link X20 - 3 Pack. Great things is the its Wi-Fi 6 which 2 of my devices utilise, also allows seemless transition from one router to another when moving through the house. I don't live in a huge house, its a terraced house from the 1930s however there were a few dead zones, whether its down to the thick walls or some other reason. In addition to the 3 pack, i also purchased a 5 port switch as i did have a few devices which i prefer to be hard wired, such a Playstation and also nVidia shield to stream 4k content from Netflix etc Set up is really easy, just download the Deco app, connect the one unit first to the modem (i have virgin media which i switched to modem mode) it recognised a connection did an update, allowed me to set up a password etc and then asked if i wanted to add another router, went to the bedroom connected the second device, followed the instructions and device recognised and updated - and repeated the same for the 3rd unit too. Note you only have to set up password, settings once for the first hub, router and the others just coppy the details. You then select an option on the app to allow for seaming connection which is meant to keep you connected on the network if you are moving from one floor to another I am due to change by internet provider from Virgin to the new BT fibre 900mb and I have been told that it should be as simple as plugging the network cable that currently goes into the virgin router into the modem / hub thing that BT install for their new fibre. I won't know this for sure until the end of March. The security built in gives you updates and also notify's you of potential or attempted attacks from external sources via the net and so far protected. You can manage devices and allow parental locks for children devices. Great router, no issues, easy set up.

Can’t Fault it, Now have great wifi coverage
Can’t fault this. Had so many problems with broadband from BT throughout 1st COVID lockdown - I can’t get FTTP so best I can get is standard “Super fast”. Anyway after going through a number of BT routers and issues - realised BT are essentially just a Billing provider and it’s Openreach that provide the service and they provide the service to ALL the ISPs in my area. So now have the cheapest service I could sign up for (SKY) as the service is still the same broadband on the same line supported by the same Openreach infrastructure! SKY router as a modem connected to these TP Link devices to provide all the connections to devices - easy setup and have full visibility of what’s connected and every room has full signal hitting the best speeds Iv ever got on the line 48Mbps! (BT limited my speed to 36). Went for these Mesh devices as they were constantly mentioned when looking at reviews - not always top reviewed but usually due to 1800Mbps speeds not as fast at others. But who needs more than 1800Mbps. Pay 1/2 the price on my monthly broadband cost and with these my connection is double the coverage and over 10Mbps faster! One other reason for liking them is they are not too ugly just a nice round pot that sits on the sideboard - you can even turn off the LED’s in the settings so it doesn’t have a random green thing lighting up in the corner at night.

Works well, been using for 14 months
This review is for TP-Link Deco X20 AX1800 Mesh WiFi System - I have been using this Deco mesh system for around 14 months and it has made a big difference to practicality because I live in a 2 floor 350 square metre house and the WiFi never drops out wherever i am in the house, even extends into the garden. - The WiFi speed never seems to drop. - Previously I was using extenders which meant I had to keep switching WiFi connections as I moved around the house. - I have wired my TVs directly via ethernet port into the Deco mesh which means any internet TV viewing (Netflix, YouTube etc.) never buffers or lags anymore. They have 2 ethernet ports. - I have a set of 3 which works fine, they are very easy to setup. Each needs an electrical power point. - They have a "guest" setting so you can give guests staying with you a separate password and what appears to be separate WiFi connection with separate name. This can all be done via the Deco app from your phone and you can see all the devices connected to the Deco mesh system via the app and block any if you want! - When there is a power outage, they seem to come back on on their own without needing you to reboot or turn off/on. I would definitely recommend.

I've been using TP-Link products for years and they are great products. Easy to use and have pretty good support. Until I ordered this and found that I should have read the reviews about it coming with a UK power plug. It would be a good idea to ship goods to Australia with either the correct power plug or provide the appropriate adapter in the box
