First Course on Power Electronics: A First Course

the good thing about this purchise is that I wanted to cancel this order after I ordered thinking I ordered the wrong book but it was too late and my cancellation note was received after my book wa shipped but to my surprise, when my book came, it was the perfect one and with that prize, it was unbelievable so I really liked the product and the communication with the seller evrything was good to the level of convenience. Therefore I recommend everyone looking for educational books, you have them, these guys and they are awesome people to deal with.

Wiley killed the important content when they hacked it apart for cheaper printing, University of Minnesota Press did a better job and was a more relevant book before Wiley got their hands on it.

Good and straight forward. I used this back during my junior year in college (3 years ago) and it was a nice little book. Tons of helpful equations, some of which aren't even in my grad books. Keep it handy (its small so no reason not too).

This book is terrible. Hard to follow the author in explanation of the material. It’s written like an abstract or very vague overview. A person taking power electronics for the first time needs much more explanation/understanding. Had to do tons of research to complement the book. Was able to find other resources to learn the material. Please find a better book to limit unwanted frustration.

Often engineering books focus a bit too strongly on the math and leave the reader a little confused about what's actually happening. Although it's not perfect, I'd say this book does a pretty good job of nailing the concepts, while leaving most of the mathematics out of it.

Got this book for a Power Electronics course. The book was very straight forward and easy to follow. My introduction to boost converters was made much easier thanks to this.

obligatory reading for school, a bit hard to follow at times as you have to go back and forth to find illustrations the author refers too.
